PERSONAL STATEMENTI am a conscientious, hard working person with a good personality. I am willing to learn new skills and except new ways of working. I have experience with customer facing support, within a public and corporate environment. I have completed two MCP’s which I have self funded but due to financial constraints I could not complete the remaining exams, but I do hope to complete them in the near future. I enjoy working within a team, but I also have the confidence and knowledge to work on my own initiative. Thomas Cook Group are in the process of bringing the IT Help Desk back in house. I have been employed to help with the setup of the entire service and to implement the use of BMC Remedy Systems for call management, incident and problem logging and knowledge database . I have been put through the BMC Remedy Foundation Administration 8.0 parts 1 and 2.

Oct 2012 – Nov 2014 Oil & Gas Systems Limited, St Thomas Place, Ely, CambridgeshireIT Technician

Oil & Gas Systems design and manufacture high quality packaged process and metering systems for the oil, gas and power industries. My role is to oversee all aspects of the IT infrastructure, from desktop support to Server management and Fiber Network maintenance. Over that past 18 months I have worked alongside an IT Consultant, Steve Cassidy (Contributing Editor for PC Pro Magazine) and we have completely reorganized the IT Systems, this included retiring old and outdated servers and adding new physical and virtual servers. Part of the restructure involved one major change to the system and that was the implementation of Microsoft’s Distributed File System. We have also just completed an entire company move to a new building with a new complete fiber network infrastructure, and this was accomplished with minimal down time. The next major project is the setup and implementation of MS Exchange 2013.

Feb 2011 – Oct 2012 Enercon Service UK Ltd, 22 Edison Road, St Ives, CambsIT Technician for the UK Enercon is a company that builds and maintains Wind Turbines. My job

was to maintain all the computers and laptops within the UK. I also look after with Scada PC’s in each Turbine in theUK via remote access or if needed a site visit. I support Enercon Turbine owners with there Scada Software via remote access and if required visits to there sites throughout the UK. I am currently working on two projects, the first is to perform a software upgrade on all wind farms and turbines within the UK and the second is to plan and implement the network infrastructure in the new office that Enercon will be moving into by the end of 2012.

servicing nearly fifty clients in the Cambridgeshire and Norwich area. My role is very varied, I manage the engineers and organise and prioritize the work to be done on a daily basis. In general the work is PC maintenance, PC hardware fault diagnosis and repair to full server Windows Server system installation, maintenance and repair along with network cable installation as and when required. I was also involved in some larger projects. These involved planning and implementing a large office networking from a bare building to a complete office. I was personally

responsible for the setup and migration of date for three companies who were upgrading to Microsoft Server 2008 and SBS 2008.

there mortgage requirements. I am responsible for the running and maintenance of the office based computers and network systems, web site management and wed based advertising. I implemented a complete system upgrade from standalone PC’s to a full Microsoft SBS 2008 server system with off-site backup and data storage. This company closed due to the economic down turn and I was responsible for closing down the IT equipment, taking images of all hard drives and producing a final encrypted copy of all data from the server and wiping all drives to allow the equipment to be sold.

I am also responsible for returning the faulty parts back to the depot for return to Dell with all relevant paper work.

contracted to rollout up to 170 new PC’s running Windows XP Pro and with various software packages, this sometimes involved reconfiguration of the PC to allow bespoke software to run. Also on a few occasions I was assigned to help the Desktop Engineers in there duties, this could range from simple telephone support to site visits. Also during my time with ITNet I was seconded to a migration project to migrate 44 PC’s from Novel 4 servers to Novel 6 Servers.
