Since 1987, he has been an active New York City area jazz artist - trombonist, three-time Grammy-nominated composer-arranger, and award-winning jazz vocalist (semi-finals of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition, 1st prize in the Jazzmo- bile Vocal Contest). Pete has performed as both a trombonist and vocalist with the Jimmy Heath, Maria Schneider and Woody Herman Orchestras. He work as an arranger has resulted in commissions from among others The Dave Liebman Big Band, The Swiss Jazz Orchestra and The National Endowment for the Arts. Pete appears on over 50 jazz CDs as a sideman and has released four recordings as a leader. He also leads his own small group and a big band, The Pete McGuinness Jazz Orchestra, which has appeared on numerous occasions at such venues as The Blue Note, Iridium, The Jazz Gallery and other NYC jazz clubs. He has appeared on the 2008 Downbeat Magazine Critics’ Poll in the ”Rising Star” category for Jazz Arranger, and in 2015 and 2016 “Rising Star” categories of both Male Jazz Vocalist and Jazz Arranger. He recently became a member of a new jazz vocal group “The Royal Bopsters”, which is currently appearing in jazz venues across the country. Andy Eulau is an active bass player on the New York music scene, his “drive and rich sound” (Downbeat Magazine) has led to associations with the Village Vanguard Orchestra, the BMI Jazz Orchestra, Gene Bertoncini, S.Y.O.T.O.S., and the Gary Morgan Pan-American Big Band, as well as several theater and symphony orchestras.He has performed in concert halls and jazz clubs in the USA, Europe, Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East with a long list of artists, most notably Ray Barretto, Anthony Braxton, Freddie Bryant, Bobby Sanabria, and many others. Trumpeter, composer and arranger Bill Mobley credits include New York performances with James Williams, Geoff Keezer, Mingus Dynasty Band, the Maria Schneider Orchestra, and the Toshiko Akiyoshi Orchestra, the Pete McGuinness Jazz Orchestra, the NuYorkestra, and CTA to name a few, as well as smaller groups led by Marvin “Smitty” Smith, George Coleman, and T. S. Monk among others. Mobley’s style is clearly his own incorporating long sinewy lines followed by unexpected harmonic leaps. Mobleys trumpet solos stand out boldly from those of his peers. Monk, TanaReid, Bill Mays, The Vanguard orchestra, Bill Charlap, Ray Barreto, Mark Turner, George Colligan, Chico Hamilton, Jimmy Cobb, Ben Riley, Harry Connick jr., Bob Mintzer, Bill Mobley, and the N.Y. Pops Orchestra, among many others. Jon also appears regularly as a member of the Jazz Nativity, whose other featured artists have included Tito Puente, Ron Carter, Dave Brubeck, Savion Glover, Slide Hampton, and Harold Nicholas. Scott Neumann’s touring credits include David Liebman, Madeleine Peyroux, Ben Allison, Tony Trischka, Jazz Mandolin Project, NYNDK, Makoto Ozone, Woody Herman, and Brother Jack McDuff. Performing and recording with Glafkos Kontemetios’s Trio, Bill Warfield’s New York Jazz Octet, Dan Wilensky and Chris Roger’s Quintet including the Grammy nominated orchestra of Pete McGuiness and Diane Moser’s Composers Big Band. Scott has played on over 50 CDs and has recorded with artists including Kenny Werner, David Liebman, Eddie Gomez and Claudio Roditi. Scott’s talent has supported the artistry of,Ann Hampton Calloway, Lesley Gore, Marilyn Maye, Billy Stritch and Vicki Carr.
