She encouraged all of us to get outside our comfort zone occasionally, and participating in quilt challenges is one sure way to do that. Through video and numerous colorful quilts, she shared stories of what she’s experienced and the benefits to be had. “I never lose; I either win or learn.” [Nelson Mandela]. What a winning attitude! PQG LIBRARY

Kitty and Ellie spent an afternoon re-organizing the Library cabinet. We did more purging of duplicates and outdated books to make room to access all the interesting books. The excess books will go to the Boutique sale at our Quilt Show in October. Be sure to check out the library table at our meetings. We have a good selection of "Star" quilt books, many "Artsy" and "Outside the Box" quilt books, 50+ applique books, as well as books on basic techniques and learning how to machine quilt. A full listing of all the books owned by PQG is on our website under "Library". You can search by title, author, or category. It's not possible to bring out all the books at our meetings, but the cabinet is only steps away from our meeting room, so if you ask for anything in particular, I'll try to find it, or you can look for yourself. Sometimes it's fun just to browse and bring home books for dreaming about new ideas.
