Arms of MercyArms of Mercy is a small volunteer organization founded inHonduras in 2006, our mission is to provide mobility, dignity,

hope and an opportunity for a better life to some of the 325,000mobility challenged individuals in Honduras.For the past five years Arms of Mercy has distributed P.E.T.s(the gift of mobility) in Honduras. Arms of Mercy depends on

donations and volunteers to make this work possible.

What is a P.E.T.?-Personal-Energy-Transports-

PET is a durable, hand powered, three wheel cart,that goes where wheelchairs cant go. It is designedfor individuals who are mobility impaired.

The P.E.T. Design

The P.E.T. has been extensively field tested and isdesigned to be:

STURDY and DURABLE,to provide years of

service. SIMPLE and easily maintained in outpost

conditions.

LOW-COST,so the donor dollarcan serve as many

Two Sizes

P.E.T.s are made in both child (P.E.T. Junior) and

adult size.

P.E.T.s are build in 25 different workshops in theUnited States by volunteers; young and old.

Jeffrey, born with malformed legs, is 8years old and lives in San Pedro Sula.

Before receiving a P.E.T. he used to get

around on a skateboard.

Jeffreys new P.E.T. Junior is perfect

for his body size; it takes him toschool and places his skateboard

couldnt.

Eugenio Lara tragically lost his legs

at age 36 after being attacked by

a group of thugs who burned hislegs after beating him unconscious.

It was a very difficult life change for

this active and hard working man who

raised horses. He couldntuse awheelchair and had to drag himself

around or be carried (having no legs,

the majority of his weight is to the back

of the wheelchair causing it to flipbackwards). The P.E.T. worked out

perfectly, allowing him to freely move

about no longer needing help.

PETS go to the remote Mosquito Coast

120 PETs arrive by small boat from the Amy J cargo ship

anchored in the shallow waters a mile off shore.

120 paralyzed misquito lobster divers benefited from a P.E.T. Over 2000Miskitos have been paralyzed from the nitrogen bends while diving for lobster.

Production in Honduras is desperately needed limitated U.S.production of P.E.T.s has only met 2% of the need in Honduras.Our five year goal is to produce 10,000 Power Trikes. Materialsand skilled laborers are available to begin production. The Arms

of Mercy Power Trike is not connected with P.E.T. International
