PERSUASIVE TEXT
Persuasive TextPersuasive Text• Persuasive writing, also known as
creative writing or an argument, is a piece of writing in which the writer uses words to convince the reader that the writer’s opinion is correct with regard to an issue
• An analytical exposition text is a form of an essay or an argumentative text
• The function is to persuade the reader or listener that something is the case
The organization of Analytical Exposition are:
a.Thesis (the topic you are talking about)
b.Arguments (List of several reasons, facts, or statistics as the examples)
c.Reiteration (the conclusion based on the arguments)
You can use these expression to prove your thesis
statement:• This is for several reasons• This is true based on the facts below• Let me tell you the reason why• I say that for several reasons
You can develop an analytical exposition
by enumeration, for examples:• First, second, third, fourth…• Firstly, secondly, thirdly,…. finally
Another way to develop analytical exposition is to
lists reasons, for examples you can use these
phrases:
• One reason is that……………..• Another is that……………..• Still another reason is that………………
In making reiteration, you can make a conclusion by
using these phrases:
• From the facts above, it is clear that…………• Based on the reason listed above, it is
obvious that…………..• From the facts above, we conclude
that…………
The pattern of simple present tense:•Statement:
Subject + Verb 1 (Verb 1 s/es)•Negative statement:
Subject + don’t/doesn’t + Verb 1•Affirmative Statement
Do/Does + Subject + Verb 1•WH- Question:
WH-question + do/does + subject + Verb 1
Examples:Breakfast provides you with energy and nutrients.The process of registration doesn’t require any ID card.
