The video camera created the basic video of our production. We using dolly track, tripod and jib created different camera angles and shots.

iMovie Final Cut Express HD Garage Band Live Type

Final Cut Express HD was the program, which brought our rough cuts together to create the film, using the effects in Video filters to darken our film and enhance our project. Garage band created our music, using a variety of different instruments. We used Live Type created the title of our production company and studio.

Practice those skills that we have used before, by further using the photographic equipment we could create more different camera shots for our music video. We will use professional camera instead the video camera we used on AS media, to create a more professional production.Post production

The 9 camera shots research gave me an advance idea of the camera shots in our media product. By the conventions of horror, the title sequence, the audience research and also the opening sequence research, I have a previous concept of what we need to prepare for our product. The story board helped us to create the previous camera shots that we would like to use in our video.

I will expand the scope of my research to help me understand comprehensively of music video.For the planning part I would like to have more communication with my partner, discover and planning our music video together so that we could be prepared to do our music video.

Using conventions of real media texts

- Did you take any inspiration from the conventions found from your research?

The conventions of real media sequence I have analysed are:

‘CABIN FEVER2’ for the camera shots

‘THE DESCENT 2’ for the title sequence

‘THE WARD’ for the opening sequence.

Those 3 texts (‘CABIN FEVER2’, ‘THE DESCENT’ and ‘THE WARD’) I have done gave me some useful inspiration. For example in our media product the light is really low and we use the dark shadow. For the location we chose a remote street which the idea comes from ‘THE WARD’.

By watching and analyse a larger group of music video of the music genre we chose, to find some good inspiration, ideas and also some media language we need to use for our music video, to design and planning our media prodct.

Creativity- were our ideas for your portfolio imaginative and unique or did you adhere to

We followed the convention of horror which we haven’t been creative as we could be.

By followed the conventions that we created a typical horror which is not novelty enough to attract audience.

For the music video we goner add as much novelty idea as we can which allow our music video more creative and

conventions? outstanding.
