Innovations/Contributions in Teaching

a) Design of Curriculum

Involved in BOS of Tumkur University and contributed towards implementation of new CBCS

syllabus for UG-BSc mathematics.

Involved in the discussion of implementation of lab component in BSc Mathematics and

conducted a workshop to all the teachers about Scilab & maxima as an organizing secretary.

Involved in the BOS discussion panel of Gulbarga University to implement new CBCS syllabus

along with lab component and prepared a manual.

b) Teaching methods

Using various methods of teaching according to the topics, they are

Induction method

Deduction method

Method of illustration with examples



Lecture method

Interaction method, etc

Teaching of lab components and other related topics were taught through using ICT.

c) Laboratory experiments

We have started the laboratory component since from 3 years, as a HOD of our department,

we have started the well-equipped lab which was zero at the time of introduce of lab component

in the subject.

I have involved in preparing lab manuals.

d) Evaluation methods

I have involved in two types of evaluation methods like continuous evaluation and

comprehensive evaluation.

Under continuous evaluation, I am doing unit tests, retest for failure students and giving

feedback about the performance of the test.

Under comprehensive evaluation, I am participation in university evaluation, re-valuation,

board valuation work and paper setting as a member of BOE.

e) Preparation of resource material including books, reading materials, Laboratory manuals etc.

f) Remedial Teaching / Student Counseling (academic)

We are doing remedial classes for academically weaker students and doing re-test to know

about their performance.

We are doing student counselling according to weeks and strengths of the students and guiding

them to overcome out of the problem.

Extension Work/Community Service A short account of my contribution to : Community work such as values of National Integration, secularism, democracy, socialism, humanism, peace, scientific temper, flood or drought relief, small family norms etc.

I have participated in various community works such has NSS as a invitee, co-coordinator,

special camp Co-officer etc.

I have participated & hosted various scientific programs under department, college and in

committees.



I have participated & developed the scientific collection of admission fee, exam fee collection

system along with the online admission to help the student & parent community worked as a

coordinator.

I have participated & organized environment awareness programs through department,

committees & college to bring the awareness among students and publics.

I have worked as a presiding officer in various general elections like Grama panthayat, Taluk

& Chilla panchayath, parliament etc.

I had contributed many aspect to the college to develop my college as a best college among other

colleges and to help the students to get the best from out of the world of education. Some of them

are

Started the international online e-Magazine & Group of international Journals and helped to

publish academic contributions from students as well as professionals and now it is

functioning well by getting ISSN.- Working as a Chief Editor

Developed the entire admission process through online mode with the help of professionals

which is first time in the history of Government colleges in Karnataka worked as

coordinator.

Established the online admission and exam fee payment system first time in the history of

Government colleges in Karnataka. – working as a coordinator

Established the real time massaging service for the students, parents, teachers to know

about process and progress of various activities of our colleges.

Involved in allotment of time table of the college, exam work allotment using technology

based services to simplify the work.

Conducted a National, State and University level conferences and workshops as an

Organizing secretary.

Contributed towards various innovative practices of department and to the college.

Helping the principal in the administrative works to get quick work done in the college.

Involved in various committees as a coordinator, member to perform various activities in

the college to help student community.

Developed various type of study materials like, lab manuals, books, e-books, assignment and

question banks to help the students to get best resource.

Contributed in various aspects to develop a best department among all the departments in

our college in a short period as a HOD.
