“LET OUR FAMILY TAKE CARE OF YOURS”

Personal experience makes a difference. As the owners of Homewatch CareGivers Denver, Roger and Darby Rhodes learned from first hand experience what it was like to take care of a sick senior citizen. Darby's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and they cared for him in their home for the last 7 years of his life. IT'S REALLY ABOUT THE CAREGIVERS

Caregivers must be servants at heart. Having a stranger in one's home takes adjustment especially when illness is involved. Whether it is in a facility or a residence, we are always aware that we are guests.

Putting people at ease is an art and we look for caregivers with experience and inherent kindness. We put great effort into background checks and certification and exceeding state requirements for annual training.

THE THREE PLAGUES OF AGING

Loneliness, Helplessness, and Boredom account for the bulk of suffering among elders. Above and beyond attending to the physical needs of our clients, we know that keeping their spirits high and minds engaged is critical to health and wellness. We always create a physical plan of care that follows doctors' orders, medication reminders, exercise and proper nutrition. One fall can change a life forever so being mindful of safety is crucial. WHY WE ARE CALLED SPECIAL SERVICES

Caregiving is not a cookie cutter service. Because needs can be different, we offer a wide range of assistance from high functioning to low functioning, part-time shifts to 24/7. Overnights for surgical procedures or hospice needs are provided. The key is to match the right caregiver with the right person.

COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT, CHRONIC ILLNESSES, TERMINAL DISEASES, MOVEMENT DISORDERS AND CANCER

Extra Help is Crucial. The activities of daily living can become more challenging. For this reason we make sure that our caregivers are specifically trained to adapt to the ever - changing symptoms of progressive disorders. We are equally proud to partner with the "Parkinson's of the Rockies Association" by participating in ongoing educational events, fundraisers and support groups.

HIGHER STANDARDS

Accountability and Reputation. We have continually won awards based on excellent services, client and caregiver feedback and standards by which we run our agency. These standards include five background checks and annual training for all caregivers, proper insurance and licensing, regular disclosure statements and additional safety and quality care standards.
