WHEREAS , the Permit Technician is a position which is filled by a contract employee tosupport the Community Planning and Building Department; and

WHEREAS , adopting a permanent Permit Technician position will allow for higher levelsof customer service and expedited permit processing ; and

WHEREAS , funding for this position will come from a combination of departmental s a larysavings and the budgeted contract savings .
