Trusted Locations in Vista

If the Vista operating system is used on a computer, PERKS must be saved in a Trusted Location on that computer.

If it is not, PERKS will not work because the database has unsigned macros. Documents in Trusted Locations are allowed to run their macros without being checked by the Trust Center security system which blocks the macros.

1. In MS Access 2007 click the Microsoft Office Button in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Click Access Options

3. Click Trust Center

4. Click Trust Center Settings

5. Click on Trusted Location:

6. Click on Add new location:

• Browse for the folder to add as a Trusted Location

• Click OK

7. Finally save the database (file extension is .accdb) into your Trusted Location:

• Click the Microsoft Office Button

• Click Save As

• Select Access 2007 Database

• Select the folder you defined as a Trusted Location

• click Save
