What and when it happened?

Hurricane Katrina happened in late August in 2005.

Hurricane Katrina was one of the top five deadliest hurricanes in the United States.

Hurricane Katrina briefly maintained as being a category 5 hurricane reaching wind speeds greater than 155 mph. Although, its strongest winds reached 175 mph.

Hurricane Katrina was an F5 Hurricane which is the highest on the Fujita scale.

The Hurricane lasted from August 23rd to August 30th.

Hurricane Katrina was the sixth largest recorded.

Hurricane Katrina had a estimate damage of $90.9 billion dollars

Around 1,836 deaths occurred from the Hurricane, with about 1,400 coming from deaths of Louisiana.

Had effected the Bahamas, South Florida, Cuba, Louisiana(mostly New Orleans), Mississippi, Alabama and some others.

Around 80% of Louisiana was flooded from water due to Hurricane Katrina.
