PARACHUTE TV AND AL ROKER ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCE LIVE STREAMING COLLABORATION WITH #PERIGIVING, A FULL DAY CHARITABLE EVENT SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5

Collaboration To Focus on Live Streaming Programming

Hollywood – Parachute TV and Roker LIVE, a division of Al Roker Entertainment’s Roker Labs digital arm, have announced a collaborative venture designed to focus on live streaming content. Roker and Parachute will join forces to produce a variety of content within the food category on the popular live streaming video platform, Periscope. This collaboration will kickoff on Saturday, December 5 with #Perigiving; a holiday-themed collection of live streams on Periscope’s first TV channel, Parachute TV. #Perigiving is dedicated to charitable activity and the spirit of giving. Talented Periscope creators from across the country - and the globe - will shed light on some incredible causes during the holiday season including the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, Project Nautilus’ Make-A-Wish campaign, Oregon Food Bank, The Reciprocity Foundation, Interval House, The Animal Welfare League of Qld, and many more. A litany of live streaming talent will broadcast globally to help raise awareness of these charities during this all-day event.

The #Perigiving event will kick off at 10:00 A.M. est in New York on @ParachuteTV1 on Periscope, with a live stream from Roker LIVE encouraging viewers to “pay it forward” with acts of kindness. In the spirit of the holiday, Instagram star & host, Jessica Siskin will encourage complete strangers to buy a cup of coffee, a treat, or a snack for a total stranger on the streets of New York City. Jessica will be joined by Kay Brown, 26, an investment firm assistant, whose kindhearted decision to give her shoes to a homeless woman on a NYC subway recently went viral.

Parachute TV is also creating a dedicated website, where the charities addressed during #PeriGiving will be represented. People can go to www.perigiving.com and easily donate to the charities featured as part of this event.
