Orjan Andersson takes you on a journey through the creation of a dance piece; you will see the finished product, learn how it was made, what choices were taken and how and why particular bits of choreography made it to the final cut. Together with the dancers he will demonstrate the creative process and open the dance studio door, allowing the audience inside what is usually a sacred space of trial and error. This is the perfect introduction for those who are interested to find out how dance is made.

In 2009 Dan Canham (Kneehigh, DV8, Punchdrunk, Fabulous Beast) made a film in a dilapidated theatre in Limerick, Ireland. Using that film as source material, this original piece of dance-theatre is an eloquent, heartbreaking elegy for a lost and ruined theatre. A performance of fragments of memories, of wild nights and long disappeared communities. It evokes the life of a once thriving building and asks what is left when a theatre closes its doors to the public.Made with support from Grants for the Arts through Arts Council England, Escalator Performing Arts, Bristol Ferment and Battersea Arts Centre.

Following the heart-stirring dance theatre of its recent productions Love and War and Sea of Bones, the Mark Bruce Company presents its new full-length work, Made in Heaven.
Mark Bruce’s work is always highly visual and sensual, where a leopard morphs into a mermaid, a chain-gang is ruled by a blind cop, and vampire dolls and malicious virgins perform a savage pageant.
With music ranging from Debussy and Leadbelly to Queens of the Stone Age and The Black Keys, this surreal, sometimes comic piece affirms the human spirit as it interrogates the very idea of heaven.
