emphasize their experiences establishing two cloud-based Smart City hubs, one in the United Kingdom and one
in Canada.
In this paper “The Internet of Things (IoT) Applications and Communication Enabling Technology
Standards”The Internet of things (IoT) is one of the most promising areas that exploit the advantages of
wireless and powerful computing (WSAN) systems.
Various IoT applications have been created and IoT researchers have recognized the good potential, issues,
difficulties, and technological standards utilized in IoT such as RFID tags, sensors, actuators, mobile phones, etc.
In this paper “A Routing Protocol Based on Energy and Link Quality for Internet of Things Applications” The
Internet of Things attracts great interest in applications such as health care, environmental monitoring, and
intelligent buildings from universities, companies, the public, and the governments. At all times, everywhere,
and around everything, IoT allows for net connection between smart devices. In this context, WSNs play an
essential role in enhancing the ubiquity of networks using clever, low-cost, easy-to-deploy devices. In terms of
energy, computation and memory sensor nodes are nonetheless constrained. Low-power radios are also highly
susceptible to noise, interference, and distortion. In this regard, it suggests an energy and link quality (REL)
routing mechanism for IoT applications. In the following paper. REL picks routes based on the suggested end-
to-end quality estimation method, residual energy, and hop count to enhance reliability and energy efficiency.
REL also offers an event-driven load balancing system, which avoids the early depletion of energy from
nodes/networks.
IV. INFORMATION ABOUT ROUTING PROTOCOL
Even before the first computers were invented, the necessity for interconnection became a key concern to share
the results of various activities for which they were initially intended. As time progressed, several firms began
to build their computer interlinking technologies. Even when the need for interlinkage became a big concern
among users, the problem remained unsolvable owing to the numerous protocols that were used to
intercommunicate in different geographical locations.
At the moment, computer networks allow us to connect and engage in real-time. We now use networks to their
full capacity to use a wide range of applications such as web applications, video conferences, e-commerce
applications, IP protocol telephones, conference calls, education process development, media access
applications, online newspaper and application development, and many more.
Routing protocols are divided into many categories but there are mainly three categories first is static routing
in which we do the manual configuration and in static routing, there is another type of routing which we called
default static routing where we have a single destination. Then there is also another type of routing is Dynamic
routing.
Figure 2: Structure Of Dynamic Routing Protocol
Dynamic Routing Protocol is also known as Routing by Routing Protocols. In this process, the routing is
moved from one area to another area with the help of the administrator who configures these protocols
properly. In Dynamic Routing, the administrator configured in router the routing protocol than this protocol

shares their information to the neighbor router and the help of this advertisement they know their
destination and enters it in the routing table. Dynamic routers share the information only the routers have
the same routing protocol from one network to another network.
IGP means the routing protocols which are used within one autonomous system
EGP is known as Exterior Gateway Protocol. EGP is the protocol that runs in different networks.
Link states they are using a different type of algorithm which is known as a Dijkstra s algorithm and it
calculates based on the cost.
Distance vector routing protocol is made up of two things first is distance. Distance specifies network how
much time is taken from one network to another destination. Vector means direction. Direction specify
which direction the administrator forwards the packets and covers the distance and finally reaches the
destination.
Routing Information Protocol is a dynamic routing protocol. It is an example of a distance vector protocol. It
was developed for smaller area networks. RIP uses hop count as a matric to reach the best route and it uses
UDP port 520 for route updates. It is an open standard version of RIP also referred to as IP RIP.
Routing Information Protocol Version two is a classless routing. It supports plain text and md5
authentication. RIP has a route tags facility. The redistribution uses when the network connects to another
internetwork than the route tags help to set apart the internal routes and external routes.
OSPF is known as open shortest path first. OSPF is a widely used and widely supported routing protocol. It is
a link-state protocol. It is a dynamic routing protocol. It dynamically learns routes from other routers and
advertises routes to other OSPF configuring routers. OSPF operates within a single autonomous system.
Border Gateway Protocol is an exterior routing protocol. The Internet service provider uses BGP for big
organizations. It supports classless inter-domain routing. It is a path-vector routing protocol. Its decision is
based on path, network policies, and rules.
An enhanced interior gateway routing protocol is a successor of IGRP. In the case of packet delivery, it uses
reliable transport protocols. EIGRP routing supports classless and vlsm. It designs a flexible network. There
are no more broadcast messages. it is used multicast and unicast messages
V. METHODOLOGY
The design of Resourceful office is very catchy and a review on similar researches was conducted and design a
smart home. In the design of the network scenario, there was implemented a resourceful office with the help of
a packet tracer. In-home automation there was use only sensors but in this resourceful office, the
implementation uses both sensors and networks. This project using the concepts of IoT and networking. Then
configured the routing protocols. In this project there were two different offices in a different state and if the
person wants to automate and sends the packets with the execution of routing protocol sitting in one office to
another state office and wants to delivers the packets as soon as possible. In this office automation use routers
to sends the packets from source to destination then uses two routing protocols and analyzes the performance
and network convergence of the routers.
EIGRP
In the ’80s this protocol was launched and being in great competition for Open Shortest Path[12]. Enhanced
Interior Gateway Routing Protocol has used its matric calculation and the formula it is used is DUAL(Diffusing
Update Algorithm). Its administrative value is 90. It used a reliable transport protocol for packet delivery on the
router which configured the EIGRP protocol. The reliable transport protocol makes use of the multicast address
for delivering the packet. Now some features of EIGRP are as follows:
It performs the complex task very easily.
It gives a backup route that other protocols cant bear.
It provides fast convergence.
It delivers unequal cost load balancing.
It supports multiple routed protocols.

Summarization in any router.
OSPF
OSPF uses for routing link-state routing algorithm os shortest path first algorithm and supports variable-length
subnet mask. The OSPF matric uses cost to select the best routes for routing. The cost will be configured
explicitly or automatically based on bandwidth. The hello timer of OSPF is 10 seconds and its hold-down timer
is 40 seconds. Its administrative value is 110. Its design is very complex to use. It has an area concept for
managing traffic in routers. It is better than the distance vector routing protocol. Basic configuration of eigrp
and ospf in packet tracer.

VI. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The Procedures of Resourceful Office Automation are as follows:
First, create the packet tracer account and signing using the password and login-id. Then open the IDE, it is
an integrated development environment for IoT programmings. So the use of IDE saves the file using the packet
tracer extension.
Image 2
Then launch the device into the integrated development environment of packet tracer to configuring the
router and create the display name of the router.
Then changing the SSID for the router. SSID is a service set identifier. It generates a wireless network
name. Configuring the table changing the SSID name and authentication as a requirement.

ROUTING PROTOCOL SIMULATION
A packet tracer will be used to simulate the simulation process of a resourceful office in this screenshot. The
packet is sent over the network using the routing protocol. If the router learns the route, the two protocols will
be utilized, with the one with the shortest administrative distance being used automatically. A comparison of
the two routing methods is shown in the graph.

VII. CONCLUSION Nowadays, people are moving towards more mobility and automation, such as the introduction of GPS,
forecasting, health automation, and many more, which in turn trends towards the internet of things, which is
one of the most trending subjects on the internet and inapplicable in many working eras such as automation,
networking, health care, and so on.It makes our lives easier, but implementation is not financially feasible. IoT
and networking tools are in high demand, yet they are prohibitively expensive[9].
Thus, to reap the benefits of this, such instruments must be replaced, such as using a wireless device instead of
a wired device, which is more expensive and requires maintenance, as well as making use of tiny chips tailored
to that demand, which is the best method to decrease costs.
As a result, the administrative distance of the Enhanced Interior routing protocol is lesser than the
administrative distance of the Open Shortest Path routing protocol.
