The interactive and optimization-based planning tool for SMEs

Product OverviewThe GANTTPLAN product family provides seamless in-

tegration between business level ERP systems and shop

floor MES systems so that customer order delivery dates

can be met based on exact stock levels and current pro-

cessing capacity. Most modern factories nowadays have

a continuous flow of information between the production

office and the shop floor. However, this information alo-

ne is not guaranteeing reliable and cost effective order

delivery. Their schedules are based on infinite resource

capacity and manual order sequencing which gives only

some on-time deliveries, many late deliveries and little

or no cost optimization. Exact delivery dates and smooth

order processing based on a corporate strategy requires

an Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) tool.

GANTTPLAN is a 3rd generation APS , that uses infor-

mation from both the ERP and MES systems to genera-

te a production schedule where every task is dependent

on the actual available resources and capacities of the

system. In addition to a detailed work schedule that is

directly available to the MES, GANTTPLAN visualizes the

planning result as a GANTT chart for planners to view and

interactively modify. If a change is made, GANTTPLAN re-

checks the altered schedule to validate it.

The GANTTPLAN interface organization and lay-

out has evolved as a standard, based on many years

of practical customer requirements and feedback.
