Percy Jackson is a multi-award winning book series written by Rick Riordan. The first book was written in 2005 and ever since the series have been a complete success, earning Rick Riordan a fortune. The books in the series are called ( in order): The Lightning Thief; The Sea of Monsters; The Titans Curse; and, finally, The Last Olympian. Although the books were originally meant to encourage younger people to read, they currently entertain many mature ages all over the world. The books are about a young demigod descended from the ancient Greek gods. It is set in the modern North America. The author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is called Richard Russell Rick Riordan. He is 50 years of age and is the father to two children. He is famous for writing the award-winning Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, however, he has also wrote the first book of the 39 clues series, The Maze of Bones, and the Egyptian based trilogy, The Kane Chronicles. He is also planning to write a series based on Norse Mytholigy.4
