He learned that he is a half blood. A half blood is a mix between a human and a god. His mom took him to camp half blood, which is a place like him that keeps them safe from monsters that like to attack half bloods. Later on in the story he learns his dad is Poseidon, god of the sea. Zeus’s master bolt goes missing and Poseidon is blamed for it. He sends Percy, Grover, and Annabeth who are also half bloods to go and retrieve the bolt. If they don’t succeed Zeus will declare war on Poseidon. They travel to Auntie Em’s Garden, Los Angeles, California, and the St. Lois Gateway Arch. They travel from Camp Half Blood and then to Hell Where Percy’s mom is captured. In my opinion, this was an overall good book.
