Outlaw of Mount Olive. She is a 2007 graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. David Anthony Braswell of Faison and the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. Charles Bradley Bras- well of Warsaw, and the late Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Willie Taylor of Kenansville. The bodice was lined with silky satin, and the skirt was lined with net- ting. Beaded lace overlay was accented with addition- al beaded lace appliques accented with fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals and crystal sequins. The back of the gown flowed into a semi-cathedral length gown. The bride also wore a singe-tiered elbow-length veil embellished with pearls. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white mini calla lilies, white ger- ber daisies and green mini hydrangeas with mixed greenery. The stems were adorned with white ribbon and studded pearl pins. Alonna Christine Pate of Mount Olive, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittney Nicole Coley of Mount Olive, friend of the bride; Jenny Lee Coley of Mount Olive, friend of the bride; Danielle Nicole Keel of Mount Ol- ive, friend of the bride; and Alyssa Kaygen Herring of Calypso, cousin of the bride. A Christmas shower was given by Can- dace Outlaw on Jan. 6 at her home; a miscellaneous bridal shower was given by Rooty Branch Ladies Auxil- iary and family of the bride March 10; a miscellaneous wedding shower was given by the Faison Presbyterian Women April 7; a honey-do cookout was given by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Outlaw April 13 at the family cabin; a bridal shower was given by the bride’s co-workers at Wayne Memorial Hospital (2nd floor) May 9; a bach- elorette/lingerie party was given by the bridal party in Myrtle Beach on the week- end of March 15-17; and a bridal luncheon was hosted by Renee Bell and Can- dace Outlaw at the home of Christine Outlaw on May 4, at which time the bride pre- sented her bridal party with gifts. On this day teachers prayed for the nation, the schools, the churches, and their families. Teachers listened to the na- tional prayer which was a prayer written especially for this day and read all over the nation. The afterschool pro- gram called Project Eagle just went on a field trip to Cottle Strawberry Farm. Students were able to pick strawberries and learn how strawberries grow. They all received a booklet to take home and learn more about strawberries. During art classes some students worked on making three dimensional art and other students made repli- cas of stain glass windows. Maggie Reece Outlaw of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and William Gage Outlaw of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Bradley Joseph Braswell of Faison, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Alonzo Donald Pate III of Mount Olive, brother of the bride; Matthew Ryan Potter of Wilmington, friend of the groom; Mitcheal Joyner King of Mount Olive, friend of the groom; and Michael Glenn Braswell of Faison, cousin of the groom. Following a cruise from Charleston, S.C. to the Ba-hamas, the couple will re-side in Mount Olive.

Pre-wedding events in-cluded a rehearsal dinner and pig pickin’ at the home of the bride’s grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Outlaw. A Christmas shower was given by Can-dace Outlaw on Jan. 6 at her home; a miscellaneous bridal shower was given by Rooty Branch Ladies Auxil-iary and family of the bride March 10; a miscellaneous wedding shower was given by the Faison Presbyterian Women April 7; a honey-do cookout was given by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Outlaw April 13 at the family cabin; a bridal shower was given by the bride’s co-workers at Wayne Memorial Hospital (2nd floor) May 9; a bach-elorette/lingerie party was given by the bridal party in Myrtle Beach on the week-end of March 15-17; and a bridal luncheon was hosted by Renee Bell and Can-dace Outlaw at the home of Christine Outlaw on May 4, at which time the bride pre-sented her bridal party with gifts.

Recently several teachers at Carver participated in the National Day of Prayer Celebration which is a day when people all over the na-tion came together to recog-nize the power of prayer. On this day teachers prayed for the nation, the schools, the churches, and their families. Teachers listened to the na-tional prayer which was a prayer written especially for this day and read all over the nation.

The afterschool pro-gram called Project Eagle just went on a field trip to Cottle Strawberry Farm. Students were able to pick strawberries and learn how strawberries grow. They all received a booklet to take home and learn more about strawberries.

During art classes some students worked on making three dimensional art and other students made repli-cas of stain glass windows. In music class students worked on learning new sounds and listening to mu-sic by famous musicians. During physical education, students have taken advan-
