Eleanor Roosevelt is a very important person in American history. She was born in New York City. Her birthday is October 11, 1884. She is famous for becoming our country’s first lady. She was married to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She is important because she became a delegate to the United Nations. She wanted equal rights for all people. She was a leader for women. Eleanor Roosevelt died on November 7, 1962, but we’ll always be remembered as a teacher, writer, and so much more.
