Dear Brothers & Sisters:

Finally, our winter has come to an end! We are heading into some great spring weather with lots of entertainment and events at the club this month. Keep an eye on the newsletter and watch for emails for updates on events as we have some great stuff hap-

pening! At our final Fish Fry of the 2016-17 season we honored Don Khodl with a handsome plaque for his dedicated service with the DNR and for over four decades as a volunteer Hunter Safety Instructor. Great job, Don! On the first Saturday in May we will be hosting a Polka Party, featuring The Stan Mroz, Jr. Polka Band in the afternoon, followed by a Kentucky Derby watch party. I would like to start by welcoming our new and re-enrolled members - Rosemary Zink, Kim Villaneuva, Diane VanVleet, Therera VanLeen, Jacqueline Syswerda, Barbara Sutter, Pame-la Plamann, Karen Losee, Toni Lyon, Heather McGee, Amber Acura, Diane Baker, Samatha Baker, Shirlee Batterman, Melin-da Berndt, Jeanene Blease, Shelly Hettenbach, Joyce Hollowell, and Mari Howe. Don’t forget that every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday thru May there will be an Auxiliary Representative at the club from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to collect your dues. May 12, the Auxiliary is having a Casino Bus run – look for flyers at the club for sign up. New officers will be installed in May for the Aerie and Auxiliary. Date is still in the air but as soon as I know I will send out a blast email. Would be great to see some of our 834 members attend this ceremony to watch your new officers being installed. Remember when re-enrolling to the Auxiliary you must fill out a new application, pay $15.00 application fee and dues for a full year. I have lots of new applicants that need to be initiated. I also have several re-enrollees that have not paid dues. Please contact me so we can make both happen.

Hello Riders,Our first 11:00 am. meeting was much appreciated, we will con-tinue this schedule through October. Also we have decided to plan on Sporty’s for breakfast around 10am on meeting days. Everyone is welcome and you don’t have to attend the meeting to have breakfast with us.The Sandy Corley kick-off bash is scheduled for Saturday June 3rd. We will be having a picnic style dinner. The cost is $10 and is open to the public. This cost does not include a raffle ticket for the Harley to be given away at the event in July, but those will be available that night. Doors open at 6pm. If you would like to volunteer for the Corley event contact Chaplain Patti Schleeter at 616-607-9193.We are also working on a member appreciation ride/dinner sometime this summer, and an overnight ride to Frankenmuth in August. We will have more details as these materialize. Our goal for the riders this season is to focus on riding more to wherever and whenever. If anyone has any suggestions and destinations, please bring them to a meeting or contact another member or officer. We will do our best to inform everyone as these rides form, so please give your current contact informa-tion to me, [email protected] or President Terry Robert-son [email protected] are planning a Toys for Tot’s fundraiser for sometime in Oc-tober. Watch for more details inupcoming newsletters and on our board. Here’s a thought for the month.....a quote by Donovan Bailey....Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don’t let anyone limit your dreams.

Ride safe!Tami Riemersma
