Deuteronomy 7:7 So I want you to realize that the LORD your God is God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his covenant for all time to come.  He keeps it with those who love him and obey his commands. He shows them his love. (vs10) But he will pay back those who hate him. He'll destroy them. He'll quickly pay back those who hate him.

Old Covenant (Law) vs New Covenant Old Covenant (Law) vs New Covenant (Grace):(Grace): Grace comes with ‘blessing to blessing’ (Gal. 3:13) John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The primary purpose of appreciating these contrasts is to keep us free from religion and joyful in Grace 1 Corinthians 1:1 - 7For I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.6 Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did. 7 Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”
