Penta is not just a pouf with a pentagonal seat. Penta is a system of modular seats with an infi nite number of possible arrangements of sets and colours. This is a fully unhindered joy of creation, retained in its remarkable shape and robust, light structure.

Penta is meer dan een poef voor een vijfhoekige zitplaats. Penta is een modulair zitsysteem met een onuit-puttelijk aantal sets confi guraties en kleuren. Deze onge-breidelde vrolijke creatie, vereeuwigd met een opmerkelijke vorm en een robuust, licht ontwerp.

The name of the collection itself refers to the shape of a pentagon. This untypical shape was the basis for designing two compatible poufs with diff erent sizes. By joining these modules with each other, we can create both nice, cozy sets and more developed open arrangements.

In the model PN PO1050, the backrest is mounted along the side D.

Bij het PN-model PO1050 bevindt de montagesteun zich alleen aan de kant van de D.

De naam van de collectie verwijst naar de vorm van een vijfhoek. Deze ongewone vorm was voor ons de basis voor het ontwerp van twee compatibele poeven met verschillende groottes. Door het combineren van deze modules kunnen met succes kleine en intieme sets en zeer complexe open systemen worden gecreëerd.

The walls of Penta are fi lled with acoustically passive foam and fi nished with New Blazer fabric or 3D_Harlequin mesh. The tests carried out in the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow have shown that the use of these materials results in a reduction in the level of incoming and outgoing sounds by a half.

De wanden van de Penta zijn gevuld met passief akoestisch schuim en afgewerkt met New Blazer-stof of 3D_Harlequin-gaas. Studies uitgevoerd in de faculteit Mechanica en Vibro-akoestiek van de Universiteit AGH in Krakau (Polen) tonen aan dat het gebruik van deze materialen zorgt voor een afname van het volume van het geluid dat van buitenaf afkomstig is en dat op de helft naar buiten wordt geleid.

• SC walls are available in two widths (450 and

600 mm). They fi t in all sides of the pouf. In the

pouf PN P1050, the long wall consists of two

elements: SC450 and SC600.

• The walls are mounted on the pouf with a knob,

without any additional tools.

• SC-wanden verkrijgbaar in breedte 450 en

600 mm. Geschikt voor alle poeven. In poef

PN P1050 bestaat de lange zijde uit twee

elementen: SC450 en SC600.

• Verstevigde wanden worden aan de poef

enables poufs to be arranged quickly and easily. No tools are required thanks to its simple system of mounting walls. All this enables very convenient and easy spatial arrangement depending on what we need at a given moment.

Dankzij de lichte en robuuste constructie is Penta een snel en eenvoudig in te stellen poef. In tegenstelling tot het eenvoudige montagesysteem van de zijden is er geen gereedschap vereist. Het zorgt voor een zeer comfortabele en zorgeloze inrichting van de ruimte, afhankelijk van de behoeften op het betreff ende moment.

Penta was designed taking its practical use into account. Thanks to the use of a simple system of acoustic walls and the possibility to install media ports, we can separate a fragment of autonomous space, which enables comfortable work in a small group, business negotiations or a private conversation. Such a solution proves its worth in open-plan offi ces, waiting rooms, cafes and other public spaces.

Penta is ontworpen met het oog op praktische toepassing. Door gebruik van een eenvoudig akoestisch wandsysteem en de mogelijkheid om mediapoorten te installeren, kunnen we een fragment van een autonome ruimte isoleren, waardoor comfort in een kleinere groep ontstaat, onderhandelingen en ook privégesprekken kunnen worden gevoerd. Deze oplossing maakt het ideaal voor open kantoren, wachtkamers, cafés en andere openbare ruimten.

r Are you looking for a harmonious and quiet room? Or maybe an experimental combination of diff erent colours on the seat and the sides? Only the designer’s imagination is the limit, as Penta may be fi nished in a range of several dozen diff erent fabrics and colours.

Penta is inspiring. It is not limited by any conventions; it cannot be defi ned in a simple way. Penta gives the freedom of decision and it lives on the imagination of the designer. First of all, however, it gives us the freshness and joy of deciding, which we can make use of every day.
