What Customers Say About It?

Only have been able to use it once so far and it performed great! I bought the 8000 with the thought of it being similar in size to my Shimano Stradic 8000 and use it on a jigging rod. The Conflict is a giant beast in comparison to the Stradic. I probably could have been ok with the Conflict 6000. I'll probably get a surf rod for the Conflict 8000 I have now and get the 6000 for my jigging rod.

Great reel. Smooth & durable. Reeled in plenty of Red Fish. Up to 40 pounds so far. Can't go wrong with the Penn Conflict 8000
