Opportunity Bystander CPR improves outcomes in pediatric arrests. For children, bystanders are likely to be home caregivers. Home caregivers need training in basic life support The inpatient stay provides motivation and opportunity for

caregivers to learn CPR.

Goal: The pediatric inpatient team will provide training in “CPR for Family and Friends” for the families of pediatric patients hospitalized more than 48 hrs.
