About This DVDWhether you are seeking a review as part of your exam preparation or simply to help you remain current in your field, this intensive and compre-hensive course is designed to strengthen your knowledge in the specialty of pediatric cardiol-ogy. The teaching program features an intensive and concise review of pediatric cardiology, an appropriate blend of relevant basic science and clinical applications, board simulation questions and answers, and a distinguished faculty of out-standing clinician-educators who combine topic expertise with demonstrated teaching skill.

This DVD teaching program was produced from the filming of the 2008 course, “Special-ty Review in Pediatric Cardiology,” which was presented under the direction of Dr. Maria Serratto, Course Director (Professor of Pediat-rics - Cardiology, University of Illinois at Chi-cago College of Medicine, Chief Pediatric Ex-ercise Laboratory, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County), and Dr. Wayne H. Franklin, Course Co-Director (Past President, Society of Pediatric Cardiology Training Program Directors, Clinical Practice Director, Cardiology, Chil-dren’s Memorial Hospital, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine). The 2008 conference was jointly sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology; the Society of Pediatric Cardiology Training Pro-gram Directors; and Children’s Memorial Hos-pital (Chicago).

DVDs 1 through 16 are each designated for two category 1 credits; DVD 17 is designated for 1.75 category 1 credits. The time necessary to complete the series is 33.75 hours. The time necessary to complete DVDs 1 through 16 is two hours each; the time necessary to complete DVD 17 is 1.75 hours.

All DVD course participants are required to take a test in order to be awarded credit. (Exam ma-terials, if ordered, will be sent with your DVD order.)
