Walking to End Type 1 Diabetes
Dawson High School HOSA students walked to fundraise to end Type 1 diabetes on Saturday, October 28th at the NRG stadium. These motivated students collectively raised a total of $485 to support the cause. Robert Leal, the vice president of the Dawson HOSA Chapter, describes his experience, “The best part of the walk was not only crossing the finish line, but also getting to be a part of a service that allowed us to raise so much money for JDRF and their diabetes research together as a family of hosiacs!”.

Mrs. Smith has had the pleasure of meeting and been assigned protective detail of each of the living presidents: Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.
