NIGHT OF WORSHIP

One of the great things about PEACE Church is we like to have fun. Well, this summer is no different. Our Worship Leaders for the evening are: our own Youth Praise Band, our Worship Leader, Steve Paxton, and guest worship leaders, Matt Haupt and Doug Meacham.

Matt has been ministering through worship and teaching since 2000. He has led worship for crowds of thousands and groups of 20. He has recorded six CD's--check them out on iTunes, www.matthaupt.com or CDbaby.com. He has traveled with Vineyard Music USA leading worship and teaching classes on songwriting, worship leading, biblical foundations of worship and more.

Doug is the leader of the band New Method from Columbus, OH. New Method was recently listed #6 on the myCCM Top 100. They have performed across the nation for a wide variety of crowds. They've performed for over 80 professional sports teams in the NBA, NHL, MLS, AFL, and pro baseball in 42 cities and 23 states and have performed dates with TobyMac, Switchfoot, Relient K, Hawk Nelson, Third Day, Skillet, and many others.

The film will educate, entertain, and inspire you to explore what you really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions. “God’s Not Dead” features a talented cast of actors.

until the first Sunday in September to get them in. We

have been sorting and counting and will keep you apprised

of what we have and what we need.

You can fill a ziplock bag yourself, or you can purchase

individual supplies. Here is what it takes to fill a bag:

One pair of blunt metal scissors (round tip)

Three 70-count spiral notebooks or notebooks totaling 200-210 pages (no loose-leaf or filler paper)

One 30-centimeter ruler (12”)

One hand-held pencil sharpener

One large eraser

Six new pencils with erasers

One box of 24 crayons (only 24)

We are cutting out the bags and are still in need of

someone to help sew them. If you can, please pick up a

few at the Connect Center.

VBS NEWS

Thank you to everyone who helped make our VBS happen. We could never have done it without you! Thanks to everyone who prayed, donated supplies, helped with set-up and tear- down, and everyone who helped during the week. Everyone shined Jesus’ love (Matthew 5:16) to the kids this week. The kids learned that Jesus’ love is one of a kind, and no matter what, He loves them.

We had 5 fun-filled days with Weird Animals learning that Jesus Love is “One of a Kind.” Some great things about VBS:

We had a total of 345 kids, with 100 being preschool thru kindergarten;

55 teens were in Club 67;

190 kids that were 1st thru 5th grades;

We had 100 Volunteers running the VBS stations & being Crew Leaders for the kids;

We collected over $500.00 for Kid to Kid Clean Water Project for Kids in India;

And we collected over 500 personal care items for the Open Shelter in Downtown Columbus.

We couldn’t have done this without you! You made a HUGE difference in these kids’ lives for eternity.

Thank you . . .

Dear Peace Church,

Workcamp 2014 thanks each and every one of you for all of your support and help for us to have a successful workcamp week. The kids ate well and worked hard. We served five families thru building ramps, building and repairing porches, painting and cleaning. We were also able to serve in the Food Pantry which helps hundreds of families in that area. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Jeff Kincaid, Youth Coordinator and Angela Johnson, Workcamp Coordinator

How do you thank someone for saving a life? It’s so hard to find the words to adequately express our appreciation for your support of the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross. We simply couldn’t get the job done without you and the blood donors who play such a vital role in supporting patients in need by donating at your Peace UMC drives. We know you take great pride in your organization’s contributions to our efforts and are pleased to provide the results of your drive on June 21, 2014: Our goal was 16; productive procedures, 11; our goal/collections was 68.8%. Again, on behalf of the countless patients served by the American Red Cross, we thank you for your past and continued support!
