The Coronavirus is different from anything we have ever experienced. One of the things all of us can do during this experience is to read God’s Word. In addition to your daily Bible reading plan, I have selected some Bible verses that I think are very appropriate for these days.

Trusting God’s promises daily, we will get through this. Listen to Him and be encouraged.

PEACE IS AVAILABLE

Peace is the result of trusting Jesus. We trust Him first for our salvation and then for everything else.

“The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11 ).

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15).

GOD IS IN CONTROL

God is absolutely in control of every detail of our lives. Everything we experience in life is filtered through His loving hands. There are some things we’ll never understand on this side of heaven. That’s what faith is for. We choose to trust God with the mysteries of life.

“The secret things belong to the LORD” (Deuteronomy 29:29).

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

FEAR IS NOT FROM GOD

Fear is not from God. Fearful thoughts are not from God. A fearful spirit is not from God. The devil wants us to live fearful, timid lives. God wants us to live confident, faith-filled lives. Fear eventually vanishes in the presence of faith.

“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”(Psalm 27:1).

“I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4).

“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You” (Psalm 56:3).

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34).

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

“Peace be with you!” (John 20:19, NIV).

“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father’” (Romans 8:15).

“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (II Timothy 1:7).
