Career Opportunities for Signal/Civil Engineer Professionals in PakistanRailways

Application are invited from retired Railways officers for recruitment as Project Director/Signals

(BS-20) and Dy.CEN/Civil (BS-19) on contract basis for supervision and execution of the Signal

Project.

Replacement of old and obsolete signal gear from Lodhran to Shahdara Bagh Section. The

details are given below:-

1. Name of Posts i. PROJECT DIRECTOR/SIGNALS (BS-20) ONE POST

ii. DY.CHIEF ENGINEER/CIVIL (BS-19) ONE POST.

2. Place of Posting Railway Headquarters Lahore or any where in Pakistan

3. Qualification i. Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication

ii. Bachelor Degree Civil Engineering.

4. Experience i. Minimum of 20 years experience in Railway Signaling including 5 years in BS-

20, knowing well the design principals and maintenance procedures of both

conventional and modern signaling systems, Auto Block and absolute block

systems and Automatic train protection system. Must be conversant with

Pakistan Railways general and subsidiary rules, safety regulations and

procurement procedures, should be capable of supervising the execution,

testing and acceptance of large Railway Signaling project. The persons having

experience of supervising and executing Railway signal projects shall be

preferred.

ii. Minimum of 15 years experience in Railway Track maintenance and Civil work.

Must be conversant with Pakistan Railways general and subsidiary rules safety

regulations and procurement procedures. Those having experience of

supervising the Signal Projects shall be preferred.

5. Maximum age limit Up to 65 Years.

6. Salary and Perks: As admissible to the Civil Servants as per rules.

a. Scale of Pay i. BPS-20, Pay and allowances as per rules.

ii. BPS-19, Pay and allowances as per rules.

b. Leave As per Government Rules.

c. Transport Transport shall be provided as per rules.

d. Medical Facility Medical facilities as admissible to Railway officers.

e. TA/DA on domestic

official tour.

As admissible to the civil servants as per rules.

f. TA/DA on Official

duty abroad

As admissible to the civil servants as per rules.

g Accommodation. House rent as admissible under the rules.

7. Period of

Contract

One years extendable in accordance with the requirement of projects.

8. Termination of

Contract

On one month notice on either side or payment of one month pay in lieu thereof.
