Shri Ganesha’s Power“Shri Ganesha is the deity of innocence…Innocence has a great effect on our character, and on our senseof chastity… you are innocent, and you are looked after by Shri Ganesha himself… anybody, who tries toharm a innocent person Shri Ganesha looks after you, and manages you. Many people, who are innocentin this world… they become so detached from all worldly problems like lust and greed, and many otherbecause they are so pure that nothing can spoil them… This is such a great blessingswe have that innocenceis actually … in us. And it was createdmuch before … everythingwas created… It is such a great quality forus to become innocent. The greatest quality of Shri Ganesha is Joy… Joy-giving quality comes fromShriGanesha.”

Importance of Nashik in Sahajayoga as told by MotherH.H. Shri Mataji has always blessed Nashik, the one of the holy places in India, specially by Her Holy abode
during 1983 to 1987 frequently. She traveled everywhere in Nashik district during this period and conducted
many Public Programs as ever possible even to rural areas. She had also blessed the sahajayogis by allowing
them to offer several Pujas in Nashik…
I’ve said a lot about Shri Ganesha and His importance in our life. He’s the giver of wisdom, but this wisdom
comes from our innocence. Innocence that is innate within us. As children we are innocent, but as we grow we
start exerting ourselves in a manner that we start losing our innocence. We lose it in two ways; once we have
lost our innocence, we cannot believe that others could be innocent. Another is, that we think innocence is not
important. Innocence is the sustenance, is the basis of spirituality. If a person doesn’t have innocence, he
cannot rise in spirituality. That’s why the first job of Sahaja Yoga is to establish Shri Ganesha within you, to
awaken Him. As soon as the Kundalini awakens, you must know that, Shri Ganesha comes into being. Without
His awakening within you, the Kundalini cannot be raised. 15 Jan. 1984. (Shri Ganesh Puja, Nashik)
Announcement of Vishwa Nirmala Dharama in Nashik
19 Jan 1985….
There was a question that in America and in England no trust which is not a religion can be registered. Of course,
Sahaja Yoga is the religion no doubt, is the universal religion. It is the religion that integrates all the religions,
brings all the principles of religions together and shows the oneness. It integrates all the incarnations; it
integrates all the scriptures. It’s a very integrating, great religion which we can call as the universal religion. And
in Hindi it is called as Vishwa Dharma. Now, to make it more particular, I thought that if you say, “Universal
Religion,” then it may not be that particular. Because like the Buddhists, then we have got people who are called
after Christ as Christians and after other people according to the incarnation. So this time the incarnation being
Nirmala, I thought we can call it the religion which is universal in the name of Nirmala. So, to make it short I
thought we can call it Universal Nirmala Religion. What do you say to that? Now, Nirmala, you’ll be all called as
Nirmalites. Means the ones who have been enlightened by Nirmala. It goes light, the word light goes very well
with you people because you are enlightened. Others are just lights without any flame. So, this is Nirmalites,
means the ones who are being enlightened by Nirmala. So, if you like the name we can call it Universal Nirmala
Religion. If that suits your people in the West, I think that’s a good name. So we have now proclaimed and
pronounced that this is a religion, which is a pure universal religion. When you say universal Nirmala means
pure or immaculate religion. And I hope you are agreeable to that. Now, when we accept that religion, once we
become universal, then we have to forget about our small little caste, customs, our old dead traditions and the
things that are not keeping with our spirit. Whatever is comfortable to your spirit has to be accepted as the
principle of our religion. And whatever is not comfortable for it, we are not going to accept. So, whatever is the
way I have taught you, these are My teachings. Out of My teachings, whatever you have achieved belongs to
this religion. Of course in this religion, as you know, all the great prophets are really respected.
With folded hands and open hearts, by the Grace of our Holy Mother, TheMaharashtra Collectivity invites you to join us at NASHIK, for celebratingShri Ganesh Puja. Your presence will add beauty, charm, and vibrations tothe Collective which gathers at Nashik to develop roots to acquire humility sothat we can establish Ganesh Tatwa within us and thus be in a state of bliss withthe joy of Brahmanand.

Holy Places in and around Nashik
Trimbakeshwar
Trimbakeshwar is one of the Twelve Swayambhus of Shri Shiva. Trimbakeshwar is also the origin
of river Godavari at Brahmagiri. The place is almost 30 KM by road from Nasik.
Shri Saptashringi
[Form of Shri Adishakti it represents Half Coil of Shri Kundalini]
Near Nashik, on the way to Dhulia, is the great shrine of Saptashringi, which has the seven peaks
representing seven chakras, of the limbic area, representing the Sahastrara. Her face and body
are beautifully made and she emits vibrations for miles around. It is a miraculous place that has
come out of Mother Earth, and since ancient times it has been there. Nobody knows when it first
appeared. The place is almost 70 KM by road from Nasik.
Shri Hanumanji's Birthplace – Anjineri
On the way to Trimabakeshwar, around 25 kms from Nashik there is beautiful place of Anjineri,
the holy birthplace of Shri Hanumanji.
Shri Sitaji and Shri Rama's exile place – Panchavati
Panchavati is the blessed place in Nashik city where Shri Rama and Shri Sitaji along with
Lakshmanaji lived bare feet during their exile from Ayodhya. This place as told by Shri Mataji is
Tapobhumi, the place where many saints and seekers meditated.
