The proposed project site is located in Maharashtra, one of the highest growing states of India. The state

contributed exports worth USD 32.04 billion in 2012-13, almost 27% of India’s net exports. The State has

strong industrial base for Engineering, Auto, Electronics, Textiles and Power and has the highest number

of Special Economic Zones and Industrial Estates among all other States in India. The site is located ideally

within the high industrial growth corridor of the state (Mumbai – Pune – Aurangabad – Nashik).

The Corridor is dotted with a significant number of medium to large scale Industrial clusters within a radius of 100 km of the proposed

project site. Majority of the clusters are owned by MIDC while a few are owned and operated by private players as well.

International airport with export/import cargo handling facility at Pune at a distance of 75 kms from the site

Ahmednagar Railway Station with broad gauge Manmad-Daund Line is located at a distance of approximately 35 km from the proposed project

site. Several long distance trains connecting Pune, Aurangabad, Chennai Mysore, New Delhi

JNPT, the biggest port of the country, with excellent inland and international connectivity at a distance of 250 kms

Multipurpose, multi cargo all weather Dighi Port at a distance of 250 kms.

ROAD Approached directly from SH27 and accessed through existing Zila Parishad Road through the

site (6 kms).This would be widened to 4 lane during Industrial Park development.

Site Utilities

Site Logistic Connectivity Description:

► Site is well connected by a 4 lane State Highway to Chakan (One of MIDC’s largest and well developed Auto and IT Industrial Area of PUNE)

► Presently, traffic from Ahmednagar Highway is routed through Chakan-Talegaon Road and then via Talawade to Nigdi, which joins Pune –

Mumbai NH 4.

► It is proposed by PWD that traffic from Chakan – Talegaon Road will be connected to Pune Mumbai NH 4.
