Fertilizer imports

Comments:

• Over the years, NPK and Urea have been the mostimported fertilizers in Nigeria accounting for 68% of allofficial fertilizer imports in 2015.

• Total fertilizer imports reduced (by 44%) in 2015 ascompared to 2014.

• The reduction in 2015 was mainly because of the changeof government at all levels in the country which resultedin a no subsidy program that year.

Fertilizer exports

Comments:

• There was an increase in 2015 Urea exports fromNigeria as compared to 2014.

• The reduction in 2014 was due to gas pipeline problemswhich affected both production and exports in thatyear.
