Committed to Train for Mission Readiness Design and Development for Combat Mission Excellence Kratos uses industry standard equipment and follows a Systems Engineering approach when designing and developing for the lifecycle of all training devices. The Integrated Product Team (IPT) approach created by Kratos is core to the design and development phases of all training devices we build. The IPT process ensures the scope of work and the functional logistical elements of all trainers are reviewed in-depth with clients in order to mitigate risk and potential performance failures. As a requirements-driven operation, Kratos stays in constant communication with our customers so that their defined needs are fully understood and the design systems and sub-systems meet or exceed all expectations. Manufacturing for Dependability As a full-integration facility, Kratos builds to requirements with manufacturing processes for both component and trainer assembly. Quality Assurance is applied throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle starting with our pre-approved vendor process, through receiving inspection, component and trainer integration, to final inspection. This process ensures that the delivered trainers are optimized to operate efficiently and effectively. The Failure Analysis Process (FAP) is integrated into the Kratos manufacturing procedures for all trainers. Kratos uses historical data to anticipate possible performance failures and build in corrective actions. This process helps prevent future maintenance failures and ensures the maintainability and quality of the delivered devices. Sustainment for Strategic Operational Capabilities Logistics and supportability are built into the design of every Kratos trainer. Operational success is based upon quality workmanship that goes into the design of each device. By integrating lifecycle supportability into every step of the process, customers receive lasting and reliable products that help them train for mission proficiency. Maximizing Performance for Greater ROI The fully operational training systems delivered by Kratos help ensure that our customers receive reliable products that match provided requirements and are delivered on time. The blend of virtual and physical training environments lowers costs in the areas of manpower, maintenance, fuel and ammunition usage while enhancing maintenance, gunnery and technical skill-sets. Training Warfighters for Mission Readiness Aircrew and maintenance technical training skills for ground, air and sea platforms are built into the lifecycle programs created for the Warrior Elite. Training solutions delivered by Kratos rigorously educate the modern Warfighter through a mix of virtual and physical environments so they gain the knowledge and skills to act as leaders, prepared for combat and supporting missions. From providing hands-on skills in the classroom to delivering full-fidelity simulators, Kratos helps the men and women of the United States Marine Corps train like they fight. H-60 Static Hoist TrainerThe fully-immersive H-60 Static

Hoist Trainer provides aircrewhoist-system training for extreme

environmental conditions andteaches the necessary skills to

perform critical operations such asSearch and Rescue, Vertical

Rappelling, fast-ropingoperations and Helicopter in Flight

Rescue (HIFR).

Full Lifecycle Enhancements

AV-8B Multi Task Trainer The AV-8B Multi-Task Trainer (MTT) consists of 26 portable desktop training devices capable of providing deployable training in the operation of the AV-8B Harrier’s APG-65 radar. The simulated environment of the AV-8B allows Marines to train for air-to-ground andair-to-air missions.

CH-53D Operational Flight Trainer UpgradeThe CH-53D is an upgrade to the CH-53D Operational Flight Trainer (OFT)and provides real-world dynamic simulation for both the pilot and co-pilot.All-weather and all-mission conditions established by the BaselineConfiguration Audit (BCA) can be performed in this tactical platform.

3-D Virtual Environments

CH-53K Helicopter Emulation Maintenance Trainer The virtual aircraft environment of the Helicopter Emulation Maintenance Trainer (HEMT) is built concurrent with the Sikorsky CH-53K EMD platform and is designed to rigorously train Marines on avionics and electrical operations for the CH-53K heavy-lift cargo helicopter. The virtual classroom for the HEMT, which is designed to fully complement the MTDS, provides students with exceptional training effectiveness. Students gain knowledge about maintenance training scenarios such as functional testing, system familiarization, fault isolation, troubleshooting and installation and removal of components for avionics and airframe systems, all in a time-constrained environment.

High-Fidelity Immersive Virtual RealityTraining DevicesAircrew Virtual Environment TrainerThe Aircrew Virtual Environment Trainer (AVET) provides cost-efficient training for the aircrew of the MH-60S platform for missions supporting aerial gunnery, Search and Rescue and Vertical Replenishment. The high-fidelity, full motion training environment readies aircrew for mission preparedness and success through increased situational awareness and enhanced proficiency in various technical skill sets.

Naval Aircrew Training System The Naval Aircrew Training System (NATS) maintainer provides a blend of virtual and physical environments for the MH-60R platform through the use of a Head-Mounted Display in an immersive, high-fidelity, full-motion simulator. Aircrew enhance their proficiency in skill-sets for crew coordination, gunnery training, sonar, hoist, Search and Rescue and external operations such as vertical replenishment.

True-to-Life Training EnvironmentsCH-53K Maintenance Training Device Suite The Maintenance Training Device Suite (MTDS) is built concurrent with the Sikorsky CH-53K EMD aircraft and supports maintenance training as well as Remove and Replace (R&R) training for systems such as avionics, electrical, hydraulic and various mechanical subsystems. Experienced crew members are trained in critical maintenance tasks for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the program and are provided with cost-efficient training methods that support the sustainment of the Marine Corps’ critical replacement for combat support, Search and Rescue and Vertical Replenishment.

Landing Air Cushion Service Life Extension ProgramMaintenance Training Curriculum of InstructionThe Landing Craft Air Cushion—a high-speed, over the beach, fullyamphibious air cushion landing craft—includes a Remove and ReplaceTraining Device delivered by Kratos. Within a space-constrained environment with realistically simulated equipment, students receive hands-on training on R&R functions of the ETF40B Gas Turbine Engine TD, Propulsion Module Transmission TD, Auxiliary Power TD and the Fuel Service and Transfer TD.

Aerial Gunner and Scanner Simulator II The Aerial Gunner and Scanner Simulator II (AGSS II) is a reconfigurable training environment that provides aircrew with realistic gunnery training tactics and improves the coordination and communication between the pilot and crew. AGSS II trainers are designed to be forward compatible and save on training costs such as aircraft fuel, maintenance and ammunition. With a Head- Mounted Display and 360-degree view of the environment from inside the aircraft to the scene on the ground, aircrew are equipped to train like they fight as they take direction from the pilot and engage targets with proficiency.
