BBM caters to a wide range of bulk requirements of the Construction Industry in Oman. The products that include Cement, Steel, BRC Mesh, Timber, etc. This division is a leader in cement supplies (both ordinary Portland and Sulphate resistant type) to the contracting segment. The division enjoys a wide clientele covering the entire spectrum of contracting companies besides servicing requirements of the Public and Government Sector. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC):

OPC is one of the most commonly used types of cement. OPC is made by heating a mixture of limestone and clay or other materials of similar bulk composition and reactivity, to a temperature of 1450 degrees centigrade. Different countries have different standards to test the cement. OPC is suitable for all modern types of construction, including all kinds of masonry, concrete works, pre-stressed concrete, repair works etc. Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC):

SRC is used in projects such as dams, foundations, pillars that are exposed to high amounts of sulphate. SRC is a pre-blended, ready-to-use cement base grout containing non-ferrous fluidities and anti-shrinkage compounds blended with siliceous aggregate and Portland cement. This special cement is very resistant to attack from sodium and magnesium sulphate found in ground water. BRC Mesh:

BSI manufacture welded mesh from bright drawn mild steel wire to BS 4483, which is welded at every intersection using modern technology. Wide range of products available at various sizes to cater the needs of the Customers. Also a variety of finishes can be provided like powder coat painted, zinc galvanized, chrome plated, plastic coated etc.

Road Marking Supplied Products/Services …

Guard Rails: Steel barriers fixed on the side of the roads especially on curves and slopes for preventing vehicles from riding out from roads. Elements of Guard rails are Guard rail beam, Posts, Terminal and Accessories

Paints: Thermoplastic paint applied to asphalted and concreted roads for guidance and safety purposes. The paint consists of quick-drying hydrocarbon resins plasticized with mineral oil, light-colored calcium carbonate, pigments and reflective glass beads. The melted thermoplastic paint (200-220°C) can be applied either by special spraying machines, screening machines or manually. Thermoplastic paint can be applied on asphalt surfaces. Road Bottons: These ceramic bottons are fixed on the center line in place of lines. They are mainly used in the tropical places.

Road Studs: Reflective aluminum or plastic objects fixed on the surface of the roads for night guidance and safety purposes. Aluminum Road studs, Plastic Road Studs & Speed breaker (ceramic type).

Traffic Sign Board: Reflective sign boards located on the sides for directive and informative purposes. Three type of Signboards: Warning signs, Regulatory signs and Informative sign.

Removal of existing markings …

The removal of existing pavement markings is required for a number of reasons. Few of the most common are when traffic patterns need to be changed to accommodate work zones, and when markings are removed to install additional travel lanes or turn lanes where developments or retail stores are built. After multiple reapplications, the marking gets thicker and need to be removed. Grinder is the simplest form of removal. These machines are easily maneuvered and can remove both small and large quantities. This one-person operation is most commonly used in confined spaces with many vehicle movements.
