PositionWhen most my age graduated from a university, we knew opportunity awaited us if we had done our part to secure employment in a corporate environment. After entering a corporate environment, we were provided training and development opportunities to ensure we were able to contribute to the organization that nurtured our careers. As young professionals, career success was virtually ours to lose. If opportunity was lost, there was no one to blame other than oneself.

In these challenging and tumultuous times, the situation is quite different for our youth. Regardless of the credentials one graduates with from an accredited university, there are precious few opportunities for numerous graduates eager to enter the workforce. Our youth have done their part, rightfully anticipating the promise of opportunity that should have been available to them as it was to previous generations.

Now through no fault of their own, our young professionals sit idle awaiting resolution of a situation completely beyond their control. Their skills become stale, their hope wanes,and their patience grows shorter each day. We are facing crisis. Young professionals now seeking opportunity cannot benefit from corporate development programs as these resources are only available to employees. Even employees now face diminished opportunities due to strict cost reduction policies. However, not all of the ills affecting our youth today must go unanswered. We possess the skills to help.

PDCC Vision

The Professional Development & Coaching Cooperative (PDCC) is founded upon fundamental principles of giving, receiving, and community service in a professional networking environment. We will strive to assist in meeting the challenges our clients face, while recognizing our mentors who donate their time and efforts to enable success for their clients.

Our Vision is a win-win scenario for both mentors and clients, whose needs must be met to ensure the future and lasting success of PDCC. To that end, group management shall facilitate productive learning experiences for clients while ensuring privacy and confidentiality, and promote mentor expertise in a challenging business environment.

The Mission of PDCC is to establish and nurture a LinkedIn group that connects young professionals with qualified, capable mentors who shall collaborate to:

Establish personal or business Objectives necessary for the client to achieve long-term success. Create an Action Plan to facilitate feedback and identify the need for corrective action if required. Develop an Implementation Schedule that supports the Action Plan it is based upon.
