Hemodiafiltration (HDF)

A technique associated with high ultrafiltration rates and diffusion across a highly permeable membrane. Blood and dialysate are circulated as in hemodialysis, but in addition, ultrafiltration, in excess of the scheduled weight loss, is provided.
