Sign of the TimesAre we talking about decorations of the self, the

planet, or near space? About style or life style or some other sign of life?

Lets talk about you. Are you a sign of the times? Do you know your own time yet, or anyone elses?

There are enduring truths. They are the signs for all times. Like decorum and not decor, you can be much more than just what others see.

There is a fixed progression of age, just one single path of nature; and an appropriate quality has been granted to each part of life. The infirmity of childhood, the high spirits of youth, the weight and dignity of middle years, and the ripeness of old age-each possesses a natural character to be cultivated in its own season.

Senior Defcic tionMr. Hendrickson,

As a token of our admiration and appreciation, we, the Class of 2000, dedicate this yearbook to you. You have made us each feel important, being concerned when we are sick, listening when we need a friend, and allowing us to bombard your office at all hours of the day. We will miss your encouragement, support, humor, scary noises, and mostly your friendship. We value your undying devotion to the community, to the school, and to each student. Thank you for accepting our perpetual tardiness and for making our experience in the PCDS Upper School something to be cherished.

We love you, Hendy!!!

TVi^wkssivmgThe leaves are turning colors, the wind has a chill to it, it is getting toward the end of November. That is right, its Happy Turkey time. Every year for as long as anyone can remember, Thanksgiving time brought not only cool autumn air, fun family times and football but also the Lower School Thanksgiving Day Feast. Each class has the responsibility of preparing a delectable dish for the other grades to enjoy. Many classes choose to make their own pilgram costumes, anything to promote the spirit. All the students then come together and celebrate the friendship that is Thanksgiving.

The 1999 swim team was one of the most successful ever. In the Desert Region, our girls team finished with a 9-1 season record while the boys were 5-5. Many records were broken as the girls swim team finished 3rd in the State while the boys were 9th. School records were set by Heather Lee in the 50 free, Traci Brinkman in the 100 back, Michaela Skloven in diving and the 200 free relay team of Heather Lee, Traci Brinkman, Meghan Bullock and Erin Beresini and the 400 free relay team of Adam Lewkwitz, Jason Bodell, Doug Loback and Beau Roysden. Senior Heather Lee was the State Champion in the 50 free.
