How can I personalize my payment page? You can do this from your PayPal account. In Preferences > My sales > Personalization of the payment page. You will find a list of the style sheets. The default style sheet is called “PayPal.” You will have to add a new one that you may call whatever you wish. Specify the URL for your logo and the colors you would like for the frame. Be careful: the images used must be hosted in https, since the PayPal payment page is secure and requires that all the elements displayed also be secure. When you have created this new style page, do not forget to make it “default.”

How does the shortcut button work? The shorcut button redirects the buyer to the PayPal login page. After authentication, the buyer validates the delivery address that is already recorded in his/her account and returns to your site to validate the payment. His/Her delivery information is communicated to your site, where a buyer account can be created if one does not already exist.

What is the difference between the two types of payment: direct and authorization? The direct mode means that the money moves instantly from the buyer’s account to the seller’s account at the time of payment. The authorized mode is a deferred mode of payment that requires the funds to be collected manually when you want to transfer the money. This mode is used if you want to ensure that you have the merchandise before depositing the money, for example. Be careful, you have 29 days to collect the funds.

How do I use the module with a test account? You can create test accounts at http://developer.paypal.com. To do a full test on your site, you will need a buyer (personal) account and a seller (business) test account. You will then have to activate the sandbox mode on the module and enter the API identifiers for your test account. To make a payment, use your test buyer’s account.

Why is the shortcut button not displayed when I activate it in the module? Check that the graphic theme that you use allows for display of the PayPal button.
