The East Paulding Raiders have established a very successful baseball tradition over the years. This year was no exception. The Raiders finished as region runner-up in a very tough 5-AAAAAA region playoff that saw three teams in the 2nd round of play and two in the Elite 8. East Paulding Baseball and Head Coach Tony Boyd just wrapped up a great season. The team finished with a 23-8 overall record (14-4 in region play) and was the Re-gion Runner-up in 5-AAAAA. They advanced to the elite 8, where they lost to Jones County. The season was also marked by Head Coach Tony Boyds 400th win on April 20, 2015 against New Manchester. Coach Boyd became head coach at East in 2007 and has had a consistent run of success from the very beginning. In his time at East Paulding High School, he has averaged over 20 wins a season and 7 out of his 9 teams have made the state playoffs. This impressive run includes two Sweet 16s, three Elite 8s, and one Final Four appearance. His teams have also won 3 Re-gion Championships and 2 Region Runner-Ups in his time at East. He is a great coach, but an even better person and we are very proud of what he has been able to accomplish. Thank you Coach Boyd for your contributions and representation of the Paulding County School District.

  • Goddard Earns All-Star Invite Congratulations to Caroline Goddard of East Paulding, who was selected as a de-fender to play in the 2015 Georgia Girls Lacrosse All-Star Game at Sprayberry High School this Sunday. Caroline anchored the Lady Raiders defense all season and was selected as the defensive player of the year. Caroline played almost every minute of every game taking incredible bumps and bruises, and sacrificing her body on a daily basis. She had an incredible year after transitioning from a mid-fielder last year.

  • Shropshire Earns All-Star Invite

Congratulations to Taylor Shropshire who has been selected to play as a midfielder and attacker in the 2015 Georgia Girls Lacrosse All-Star Game at Sprayberry High School this Sunday. Taylor was chosen as a team captain at the beginning of the season, and was given our Raiders Award as the player that best represents the school, her coaches, and our program. She played almost every minute this season (either at midfield or attack) and did a tremendous job leading her team both on and off the field.

  • South Track & Field

The South Paulding Track & Field Girls performed well at the State Meet this past week against very stiff competition in the AAAAA state meet. Jazmine Burse placed 6th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.45 seconds, and the 4x100 meter relay team (Jazmine Burse, Tionna Fant, Tizhane Brooks, Kahliyah Smith, and alternate Heavven Singleton) placed 13th overall with a time of 48.85 seconds. This makes the 3rd time in her career that Jazmine has been on the awards podium.
