● CFC identifies suitable projects from within the
capital programme.
● Regular communication with Trust Board, clinical
leads and senior management.
● It’s important to have the projects identified as
corporate priorities to ensure staff engagement.

Lotteries
• Of those respondents running lotteries, 68% run a public
lottery and 40% run a staff lottery.
• The majority have the lottery run by an external company.
• Applications are online as well as by leaflet.
• Staff lotteries have payment taken by payroll deduction.
• The average % of your donors with a GAD is 29%, but one member has 70%.
• The majority (38%) submit claims quarterly with 33% submitting them annually.
• 43% of respondents have made a claim through the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme.
• NHS staff education is seen as key to increasing GADs.
Marketing
• 70% believe that their charity is not very well known in the local community.
• 78% of respondent charities have their own brand logo.
• Of these logos, 86% do not feature the NHS logo.
• 88% of those who answered this question think their charity is represented adequately or worse on site.
• 14% have a Patron or President.
