I am currently a Technical Service controller. I am I highly motivated and driven person who enjoys striving to be the best at whatever role I am currently doing. For several years I worked within workshop maintenance control and managed on alternating shiftsI have been involved with Contract maintenance and Warranty engineers at all levels within DAF – MAN - Mercedes and Volvo and retain my relationships with them in my current role.

I currently work on Technical Service Control and have responsibility for the Pickford account involving all aspects of maintenance, account management, parts purchase and nationwide parts movement

Liaise with Pickfords directors and branch managers nationwide to discuss commercial costs regarding fleet repairs and off fleet replacement vehicles

Produce monthly report for profit and loss table including VOR, monthly spend parts and labour

Liaise and advise our workshops on any information they cannot get due to fleet age (information that isn’t initially available on parts spec)

Source and obtain parts from existing de-fleeted vehicles and outside suppliers to ensure costs are minimised

I am involved daily with Fleet/Transport Managers to directors organizing repair and general maintenance and ensuring that all compliance is carried out within the customers operator’s licence stipulations

Workshop Control, loading hours and specifying Contract/Warranty

Ensuring all vehicles through the workshop were checked for Manufacturers product and safety Recalls

Customer liaison and after sales, this involved meeting potential customers assessing their needs and promoting in-house repair and maintenance package (both service and full maintenance)

Ensuring that all B/Down were dispatched and closed down within DAF parameters and that DAF aid PDA information was sent correctly to the call centre

Involved directly with the first meetings and implementations of the DAF check system, setting customers up and promoting the service

Raising of all job cards for workshop with correct information and 1st diagnostic to try and minimise workshop downtime

I started work as a workshop receptionist taking calls and B/Downs and making sure that the jobs were separated into contract/warranty/retail WIP, after 12 months my then service manager started to send me on Contract maintenance courses in Swindon, learning about engines, driveline and common failures etc with Transcom and ServiceMAN insurance, after 3 years under another service manager) I was sent on the Warranty course’s again at Swindon head office and was working between workshop control and Contract Invoice.I was picked to run a shift of technicians (four on four off) due to my Contract/Warranty experience and my then 3 years on the service desk and out of hours call phone.Towards the end of my time at MAN my service manager had me acting as an assistant manager at Blackburn/Preston and getting the WIP down, promoting new business and reporting to him and the dealer principal.

TLS Vehicle Rental (GE Capital)Fleet Department/Damage Control Manager (Salford Branch) 1999 – Aug 2003

Various roles within TLS, working first within the Fleet department from sending out keys to ensuring all the fleets tax discs were sent on time and accounted for, I was then offered a job working in vehicle rentals, which involved over the phone bookings and chasing sales to organizing drivers runs and making sure that vehicles were clean and ready to rent.Within my time in rentals a position came up for a damage control position, which I was considerably more suited for (previous experience within workshop environment at Bonnie motors Rochdale)I worked within this position for half my time at TLS liaising with body shops, ensuring profitable repair, compiling electronic damage recharge estimates and photographs, dealing with insurance companies, meeting customers and discussing jobs and recharges, chasing invoices and making sure branch met targets.In addition I was also responsible for the branch audit (for damage) and making sure correct information was input into pivot table that was reviewed on a weekly basis.
