A Poem for Patryk read by Grace Eyles
Whilst it’s really hard to articulate The thoughts and feelings we are all going through
I’ll try my best not to hesitate Whilst reminiscing and thinking of you
No words or rhymes seem enough
An energy for life and a passion for sport, Easily distinguished as Milner traits.
You could often find Patryk building a fort, In his imaginary throne like one of the greats.
No words or rhymes seem enough.
You can picture it now in the sky above, Patryk’s army leading a marching band.
He is bouncing around surrounded with love. We can all see him now, Vimto in hand.
No words or rhymes seem enough.
We’re all here to celebrate the life of a boy And to support the family at this tragic time.
To remember Patryk who bought us so much joy, Every day will seem like an uphill climb.
No words or rhymes seem enough.
I’ll leave you now with the thought in your mind, Of Patryk, a boy who was loved by all.
A boy who saved lives and was always so kind, A boy so mighty despite being small.

An extract from “No Matter What” by Debbie Gliori
Read by Louis Eyles
Small said: “But what about when you’re dead and gone? Would you love me then? Does love go on?”
Large held Small snug as they looked out at the night, at the moon in the dark and the stars shining bright. “Small, look at the stars - how they shine and glow.
Yet some of those stars died a long time ago. Still they shine in the evening skies…
love, like starlight, never dies.”
Hymn
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
To shine for Him each day In every way try to please Him,
At home, at school, at play.
A sunbeam, a sunbeam, Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
A sunbeam, a sunbeam, I'll be a sunbeam for Him.
Jesus wants me to be loving,
And kind to all I see Showing how pleasant and happy
His little one can be.
I will ask Jesus to help me, To keep my heart from sin
Ever reflecting His goodness, And always shine for Him.
I'll be a sunbeam for Jesus
I can if I but try; Serving Him moment by moment,
Then live with Him on high.

Confession
Reading: Matthew 18:1-5,10
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child, whom he put among them, and said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
“Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face
of my Father in heaven.”
Address
Prayers
Including “Fly” by Celine Dion
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Hymn
All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings,
he made their glowing colours, he made their tiny wings.
Refrain
The purple-headed mountain, the river running by,
the sunset and the morning, that brightens up the sky;
Refrain
The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun,
the ripe fruits in the garden, he made them every one;
Refrain
The tall trees in the greenwood, the meadows where we play,
the rushes by the water, to gather every day.
Refrain
He gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell
how great is God Almighty, who has made all things well.
