However, these days patriotism is growing fast among Malaysians, especially the younger generation

university students is a sample of our study as undergraduates at this university is the learned and the generations that will steer the reins of government of the country soon

Title of our study is "Understanding and Awareness of Spirit Patriotism Among Students" in which our targets are undergraduates studying in Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam (UiTM), comprising the first year to fourth year. This study was also conducted in UiTM Shah Alam.

RESEARCH PROBLEM This study was done because wants to investigate the

extent to which the development and implementation of the elements of patriotism among the students of UiTM.

this topic chosen because at the present time students or students less aware of what is patriotism and whether it is important to apply in their own.

In recent years, there began to discuss ideas about the involvement of young people currently in social activities that can damage and destroy the structure of society in our country.

With the involvement of young people are not healthy, such as drug addiction, discipline problems, vandalism, black metal, secret societies, rebellion against the status quo through street demonstrations, cultural mediocrity, apathy, and so forth.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Qualitative research method is a method of natural phenomena (observations).

the questions that have options will be analyzed and the number used data will be presented in the form of diagrams, tables, charts and so forth.

Differing opinions are the questions asked by individual respondents, who do not use numbers to analyze, the data also in the form of words and statements.

The opinion given is not intended to examine the relationship between factors and effects.

Forms are available in two parts is first part related to the question demographics, example gender, age, etc., the second part is related to the questions related to our study of the spirit patriotism.

The questions in the survey form includes two types of questions are closed questions, IE questions that have options, such as gender and the other, an open question which has no options, such opinions.

In the survey form, there are 15 close-ended questions and one open-ended question.

RESPONDENTS

The sample was a group of objects selected for the analysis of a population. Population is a set of all objects or elements that have certain features of interest of a study.

This study involved the population of students of the University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Thus, the sampling involved is simple random sampling.

The graph shows the total number of respondents is 20 persons, comprising 9 males and 11 females. Based on the graph, a total of five people from the male and female respondents chose to answer the quiet and standing still while listening to songs played RA. For options to sing together, the number of 4 persons of men and 6 women of the respondents answered the same. No other options have been selected by the respondents to this question. This is because, no respondents chose responses recorded pretend not to know.

The graph shows the results answer the answer to question 4 in the two different age groups of respondents. A total of 20 respondents who answered the question. However, the respondent is made up of those aged 18-20 and 21-23 only. A total of three people aged 18-20 years. While the remaining 17 were aged 21-23 years. Respondents aged 18-20 years who have chosen a different answer every one of them. Eight people have answered yes and so did the answers are not sure of the age of 21-23 years. Only one who answered no to that age

CONCLUSION

Overall, this study involved a total of 25 students who took UiTM degree in various fields are offered. The results of a study carried out shows that the majority of respondents understand what is meant by patriotism, but do not know how to interpret and embrace the spirit of patriotism in their daily lives and behavior. However, the scenario can be seen now is that most Malaysians, especially the younger generation just do not heed this friendly when the national anthem resound. This shows the lack of appreciation and understanding of this patriotism.
