Education

Obtained a university entrance at the end of matric in 2004 from De La Salle Holy Cross College, Victory Park, Johannesburg. Awarded full academic scroll in grade 11, appointed swimming house captain and played first team cricket and tennis.

I Completed my Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University Of The Witwatersrand in 2009.

I have completed an MBA at Wits Business School as of the 13 May 2016. The title of the research report was: Repairing corporate reputation damage in the South African chemical industry.

I have had work published in the March 2008 edition of chemical technologies, a copy of this work can be provided upon request.

During the course of employment I have also attended career development courses:1. Management Training (Red cherry, core consultancy)2. Chairing of disciplinary hearings3. Work Experience:

I am currently permanently employed as Chlor_-Alkali manufacturing section manager at NCP Chlorchem. Included in the responsibility is the 8.2i appointee for the section. My current responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Achievement of production and business targets in your areas of responsibility Cost control for all areas of responsibility: Actual vs budget Raw material variances for all areas of responsibility: Actual vs budget Provide adhoc reports as per request Provide weekly downtime reports showing(report as % downtime, clearly

indicating causes of breakdowns, implement corrective and preventative actions) SAP Purchase Requests(PR’s) Approvals: evaluate and approve as per your

approval limits Operations and production planning to ensure production targets are met as well

as maintenance statutory requirements Develop ideas for continuous improvement Chair RCI’s under your areas of responsibility Chair various disciplinary hearings (including attending cases at the CCMA as

per request on behalf of NCP) Implement all corrective and preventative actions on time in your areas of

During the course of my employment with NCP Chlorchem I was removed from my role as a unit production manager (May 2012 – December 2012) and assigned to assist Renoir consulting (An International Implementation consulting firm) to develop a management control system in order to improve productivity, efficiency in order to reduce costs and ensure best business practices are employed within certain departments within the company.

The process involved: Mapping out the current business systems in order to identify problem areas Developed solutions to resolve the key problem areas Implementing and creating personnel buy-in to the solutions Developing tools and systems to measure the progress and effectiveness of the

solutions, as well as reporting them to senior management Auditing the compliance with the new systems The project was projected to save the company approximately R14 million

annually
