WELCOME! The family of Patrick Butler and members of the 2009 Golf Committee welcome you to the first annual Patrick M. Butler Memorial Golf Tournament at the Hyannisport Club. Tournament proceeds benefit the Patrick M. Butler Charitable Fund, a component fund of the Cape Cod Foundation established in memory of Patrick M. Butler, who passed away in January, 2009. Patrick was an extraordinary leader who dedicated his life to his family and to the Cape Cod community. In addition to being the managing partner of the Hyannis office of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP, Patrick was actively involved in many civic and community organizations. Despite all his successes and accolades, Patrick was a humble and selfless man most deeply devoted to his family and friends. He recognized that knowledge, privilege and opportunity require responsibility, and he lived his life in accordance with the passage in Luke 12:48 which provides “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required.” Patrick’s life is a shining example for all of us. The purpose of the Patrick M. Butler Charitable Fund is to support those organizations that embody Patrick’s life-long commitment to reach out to all members of the community, with special emphasis on developing young people into excellent citizens, improving healthcare and strengthening families. Elizabeth Mumford is a local artist with a unique style of painting. She paints in a whimsical style, often with a nautical theme. Each painting is surrounded by black border verse and bronze stenciled scallop shells in the corner. Her work reflects a love of the sea, old boats and “olden times”. Liz lives in Hyannis Port with her husband

and son, a Carin Terrier and The Cat. She enjoys sailing, gardening and cooking (when she is not painting). Liz is a longtime friend of Pat Butler and enthusiastially agreed to paint this exclusive piece for today’s event.
