PATOLOGIAS DE LA CAVIDAD ORAL Y ESOFAGOEMVZ: ANTONIO REA COLÍN
EMVZ : MARIA FERNANDA VILCHIS BOLAÑOS
ANOMALIAS DEL DESARROLLO
Palatosquisis
malformación congénita
caracterizada por la prolongación de la
fisura del labio leporino hasta la
bóveda del paladar.
ESTOMATITIS Y GINGIVITIS
Animales no convencionales
Erosions and ulcers, bovine viral diarrhea virus
infection, hard palate, cow.Erosions and ulcers
caused by this pestivirus are particularly evident on the
mucosal epithelial surface of the caudal hard palate.
These lesions are characteristic of the
ulcerative stomatitides, which, unlike the vesicular
disease viruses, do not form vesicles
Erosions and ulcers, malignant catarrhal fever, hard palate, dental pad and buccal papillae, cow
vascular damage associated with increased concentrations of plasma blood urea nitrogen and creatinine from kidney failure.
ECTIMA CONTAGIOSO
ESTOMATITIS PAPULAR BOVINA
ZOONOT ICO S
PAPULAS EN :-Fosas nasales
-morro-gingiva
-cavidad oral
POR PARAPOXVIRUS
Caracterizado por el progreso de todas las
etapas de los poxvirus-Maculas-Papulas
-Vesiculas-Pustulas-Costras

MACRO
Note the epidermal hyperplasia (acanthosis), ballooning degeneration, vesicle (V), and neutrophils accumulating in the vesicle, which subsequently results in the formation of a pustule.
MICRO
MACRO
MICRO
ESTOMATITIS NECROTIZANTE
difteria en becerros
Fusobacterium necrophorum
The dorsal surface of the tongue is ulcerated, and the ulcers are covered by a diphtheric membrane (Membrana de fibras coaguladas con bacterias)
ESTOMATITIS EOSINOFILICA
GRANULOMA EOSINOFILICO ORAL
HISTOLOGICAMENTE hablando sugiere que es una
infección inmunomediada posiblemente asociada a una
respuesta hipersensible a algún antigeno
Bilateral ulceration of the upper lip is present. The upper left lip is more extensively affected (arrow).
colágeno fragmentado (flechas) rodeado por eosinófilos desgranulados
Colageno fragmentado
Estomatitis Linfoplasmocitaria felina
IDIOPATICA Calicivirus
Virus de la leucemia felina
This chronic condition of cats is characterized by red, inflamed gums, fetid breath, and inappetence. The oral mucosa can also be hyperplastic and ulcerated. Inset, There is a florid infiltrate of mixed inflammatory cells, including many lymphocytes and plasma cells in the submucosa beneath the epithelium.
GLANDULAS SALIVARES
Sialoadenitis
Inflamacion de las
glándulas salivales, relativamente raras en
medicina veterinaria
RABIADISTEMPER CANINO
Saliva
Importante medio de dispercion
Salmonella typhisuis
distention of the left mandibular salivary duct along the ventral-lateral aspect of the tongue.
B,Chronic actinobacillosis (wooden tongue). Chronic inflammation results in loss of muscle of the tongue and its replacement by fibrous tissue during healing. Note the white interwoven bands of fibrous connective tissue (arrowheads) and the focus of granulomatous inflammation (arrow).
Enfermedades sistémicas: INVOLUCRAMIENTO
SECUNDARIO
THRUSH/ AFTA causada por Candida
albicanisAntibioticos
que matan la flora normal
Niveles de glucosa altos
por una terapia intravenosa de
esta mismainmunodeficien
cia
Hyphae of Candida albicans are growing in the superficial keratin of the tongue.
A pseudomembrane of hyphae of candida is present on the dorsal surface. It has been scraped off the rostral end of the tongue (top) to reveal normal mucosa beneath the fungal mat
There is extensive ulceration of the mucosal epithelium of the tongue associated with increased concentrations of serum blood urea nitrogen and creatine from kidney failure.
ESOFAGO
ANOMALIAS DEL DESARROLLO
MEGAESOFAGO
Ha sido descrito en
PERROS/VACAS/GATOS/CABALLOS/HURON
ES
Dilatacion del esófago por
una insufieciente,
ausente o descoordinada peristalsis
• DESORDENES DE INERVACION O DESINERVACION. ESTENOSIS. PERSISTENCIA DEL ARCO AORTICO. IDIOPATICOS
LAS CAUSAS
INCLUYEN
Conlleva a un
bloqueo parcial de la luz del esofago
Dilation of the esophagus cranial to the heart is the result of failure of the right fourth aortic arch to regress during embryonic life
During embryogenesis the aorta was formed from the right aortic arch instead of the left one, thus the aorta is now on the right. For the ligamentum arteriosum (arrow) to connect the aorta with the pulmonary artery, it has to pass dorsally over the esophagus and trachea. The ligamentum, together with the aorta and pulmonary artery, form a vascular ring that constricts the esophagus(E), which is dilated cranial to the constriction.
Parasitos esofagicos
GENERALMENTE NO TIENEN IMPORTANCIA CLINICA
Gongylonema spp
Gasterophilus
Spirocerca lupi
secuelas
Spirocerca lupi (longitudinal section) (arrows) is present in the esophageal submucosa deep to the fibrosarcoma, which it has induced(arrowheads
Gongylonemiasis, esophagus, cow.
HIPERTROFIA IDEOPATICA MUSCULAR DE LA PARTE DISTAL DEL ESOFAGO
NO IMPORTANCIA
CLINICA
EROSIONES Y ULCERAS EN ESOFAGO
PUEDEN TENER VARIAS CAUSAS ENTRE LAS QUE ENCONTRAMOS
REFLUJO DE ACIDOS ESTOMACALES
As would be expected, erosions are most severe in the esophageal mucosa adjacent to the cardia and extend orad. This distribution is diagnostic of acid reflux esophagitis.
These red linear ulcers are the result of abrasion from improper stomach tubing, either from an overly large diameter tube, from a too-vigorous insertion, or from a tube with a roughened edge
variably shaped esophageal mucosal ulcers caused by the pestivirus of BVD.
Note that the end of the bone opposite the perforation site has caused a deep ulcer (arrow).
A corn cob has lodged in the esophagus subjacent to the larynx
Pressure necrosis of the proximal esophageal mucosa, adjacent to the larynx has occurred secondary to lodgement of a foreign body (compacted chaff). As a general rule, pressure necrosis usually occurs if the foreign body remains in place against the mucosal epithelium for longer than 2 days.
neoplasiashelechos
Papilomavirus:Con carcinomas
de células escamosas
A mass consisting of submucosal proliferation of smooth muscle cells bulges into the distal esophageal lumen
