Pat Tremaine Watercolor Artist

Artist Bio Born and raised in Seattle, Pat moved to Eastern Washington seven years ago. It was a complete environmental change to a world of big open skies, dramatic colors and ever changing weather.  With an education in landscape architecture it

was only natural that Pat’s interest in design and the environment eventually led her to the world of watercolor painting.

Now living in a small wheat community she continually learns through observing and expressing the atmosphere of the world around her. Light, color, nature are all teachers. Pat has recently expanded into Plein Air painting activities.

Artist Statement Influenced by the Expressionists and the color crazed Fauvists bold expression is her passion. Color intensity and random chaos of nature is seen in her painting “Birch Forest” in the show.  The bright colors of Spring as foliage emerge and the chaos of dense patterns of nature are expressed.
