FLORAL DEPARTMENT: Are you celebrating a birthday, anniversary, promotion or just feel like

beautifying the church? If so, why not show your appreciation to God by

giving a floral arrangement or live plant to enrich the sanctuary. May God

continue to bless each one as you contemplate giving. Interested persons can

contact Sisters Avril Sullivan at telephone #323-7734, or Lathera Knowles.

REVELATION NOW With a Unique Twist Do you know that although the God’s church is living in the age of Laeodocia, God is not wanting and neither expecting us to be Laeodian. During this series you will find out what church we are to be link and the church Jesus is coming for. Note that after examining each of the churches we also can find today churches and persons who display the characteristic of each of the churches in Revelation. Most excitingly, the church at Smyrna, the one that had no fault, I believe represents the church or kind of people Christ is coming for. Smyrna is the spiritually hot church. This is the model church. This is the church known for its deep loyal, faithfulness, trustworthiness, and teachable spirit. This is the kind of church that a pastor would dread to lead. It is known for its deep spiritual relationship with Jesus and genuineness, rather than the few unfortunate problems that normally weaken other churches. It’s an active church in nurture, outreach and community ministries. We need to study all the churches, not just Laodicea, to avoid the same problems they had at that time. It is my view that there is too much emphasis on Laodicea prophetic period to the neglect of the preaching that Jesus is coming for--Smyrna, the really hot church. Jesus is not coming for Laodicea, so why put so much emphasis on it? Yes, we must understand the times in which we live but more importantly, we must know the kind of people we must become. The psychological truth is what we emphasize the most that is what becomes most attractive to us. So talk and preach more about the Smyrna church and perhaps understand more about the other churches. It is my view that all of the Revelation churches are spiritually existing today. Hence, you may note carefully my seven Ecclesiastical and Church Traits I will share during this pulpit series. You will see what kind of church you are attending or what kind of personality you have.

Happy Sabbath!

Welcome home! Happy Sabbath to everyone. It a joy to be back in our home church since September 26. We’ve had an inspirational time at the Good New Gospel Explosion where more the 340 persons were baptized. We could never forget the theme song of the evenagelistic series written by Pastor Claudius Morgon, “I don’t want to be left out.” Today, and for the next two

Sabbaths, were are going to sing this song in both worship services. Singing with us today is Kenisha Hanson, a member of the Good News Gospel Explosion Praise Team. We are delighted to have her join our praise team as she helps us recapture the spirit of the series. Here are the words:

Chorus

I don't want to be left out, I don't want to be left out

I don't want to be left out, Out of the kingdom of God

Verse 1

On the banks of the river side, Someday we will meet and pray

Oh Lord, you know just how, I long for that beautiful day,

When all the people will be there, Out there in that quiet place

Oh yes, sitting at Jesus feet, All because of his grace

Verse 2

On the banks of the river side, We’ll gather to give God praise

Oh Lord, what a privilege, Your son Jesus has given us

So all the people will be there, Out there in that quiet place

Oh yes, sitting at Jesus feet, All because of his grace

Today, I begin a new pulpit series on selected themes out of the book of Revelation. This autumn pulpit series is entitled “Revelation Now with a unique twist.” You will be blessed as you hear new insights about this important book concerning our last days. Remember to have your Bible—electronic or hard--with you and a note pad.

FOCUS ON EDUCATION: Children should be so trained and educated that they will expect temptations, and calculate to meet difficulties and dangers. They should be taught to have control over themselves, and nobly to overcome difficulties; and if they do not willfully rush into danger, and needlessly place themselves in the way of temptation, if they shun evil influences and vicious society, and then are unavoidably compelled to be in dangerous company, they will have strength of character to stand for the right and to preserve principle, and come forth in the strength of God with their morals untainted. If youth who have been properly educated make God their trust, their moral powers will stand the most powerful test. COUNSELS to Parents, Teachers and Students Page 65 Congratulations to all students who made the Honour Roll and Principal list for the school year 2014/2015. Continue to strive for excellence through Christ who is the source of True Education.
