Club Announcements• Courtney McElvain talked about Life Skills Academy. Our club gave a grant to Catalyst Mentoring this

year and they’re asking for our members to volunteer for Life Skills Academy between July 22nd - July 26th. They’re asking for people with expertise in finance, work force readiness, healthy relationships or healthy living. Volunteers are asked to volunteer from 8:30am - 4:30pm to mentor youth in our area.

• PP Amelia Ward reminded everyone that next week the lunch meeting will be dark. We’ll hold the Demotion for President Greg on Thursday evening, June 27th at the Riverview Country Club. Attire is casual, so come as you are!

• PP Ed Rullman talked about RPD Leadership Academy. Our club provides volunteers to help with their preparing the meals for their young students on Tuesday, July 16th. They’re looking for 6-8 volunteers for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Contact Gary Burks if you’re interested in helping out. RPD and Leadership Redding has a camp that they’re holding at Shasta College this year.

He introduced former Rotarian Kristen Lyons CEO of the Shasta Family YMCA; Kristen then introduced Rachel Fiero, the Program Director in the Aquatics Department at the Redding YMCA who presented the award.
