Lauren Revesz Women’s Basketball | 2006-09
Don Bassett Men’s Basketball | 1992-03
Among the Golden Knights most accomplished
female swimmers throughout the program’s
inaugural decade, Cathi DeSimone-Greiner
graduated owning six school records and a
pair of Saint Rose individual pool standards.
She was also part of two pool record holding
relay contingents. Cathi set school records in
the 200, 500, 1,000, and 1,650-yard freestyles,
and both the 200 and 400 individual medleys.
She furthermore held the 200 free and 200
breaststroke pool standards, along with the
200 and 400 free relay pool records. As a
junior, the team captain finished among the
top-30 in the 100 breaststroke at the New
England Championships.
Lauren Revesz spent two years in a Golden Knights uniform after transferring from Ohio University. She immediately established herself as one of the most dominating frontcourt players in program history, while helping lead Saint Rose to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Lauren was a State Farm Coaches’ Honorable Mention All-American, a Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) first-team All-League pick and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) first-team All-Region selection as a senior when she finished second in the NE10 with a 17.2 scoring average. She also recorded a 6.3 rebounding average and set a single-season school record by converting 87.1 percent (115-for-132) of her free throws, while leading the Golden Knights to a 20-11 record. As a junior, she earned second-team All-Conference accolades after finishing fifth among the league leaders with 15.0 points per game. She closed her career by making a school record 84.4 percent (200-of-237) of her free throw attempts.
A legend in area basketball circles who taught the game for more than 60 years at every conceivable level, Don Bassett was an assistant coach in name only as he selflessly mentored Golden Knights student-athletes throughout his tenure. In addition, he helped guide Saint Rose to more than 200 wins that encompassed seven NCAA Tournament appearances including three trips to the “Elite Eight” between 1996 and 1999. The Golden Knights also won four New York Collegiate Athletic Conference titles between 1995 and 2000 and advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference postseason tournament from 2001-03. He also coordinated the sponsorships of the basketball radio broadcasts and served as the Tournament Director for the renowned Capital Key Classic, which was considered one of the nation’s most prestigious in-season Division II basketball tournaments throughout its eight-year run.
Jermaine Henderson was part of a dominating era
of Golden Knights men’s basketball, which went
109-21 throughout his four-year career on the way
to winning three New York Collegiate Athletic
Conference (NYCAC) titles. In addition, he was part
of four NCAA Tournament teams, including the
1996 “Elite Eight” and the 1998 National Semifinal
squads that were previously inducted into the Hall of
Fame. Jermaine was named MVP of the 1998 NCAA
Northeast Regional after he scored 33 points to
lead Saint Rose to a 97-87 victory versus Stonehill.
Henderson garnered NYCAC All-Conference
accolades and was named an Eastern Basketball All-
Star as a senior. He closed out his career fifth all-time
in school annals in scoring (1,654), third in free throws
made (464), and tied for 12th in steals (163).
Lindsay Bove Women’s Soccer | 2004-07
Among the most decorated midfielders in the
esteemed annals of Saint Rose women’s soccer,
Lindsay Bove was a four-time Northeast-10
Conference (NE10) All-League pick who garnered
first-team accolades three times. In addition, she
was twice chosen both a National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA) and Daktronics
All-East honoree. Lindsay closed out her career
14th all-time in program annals in points (71) and
goals (27), tied for 16th in assists (17), and eighth
in games started (84). She was a member of four
squads that won nearly 80 percent (62-12-10)
of their matches and was part of three NCAA
Tournament teams, the 2007 NE10 Championship
squad, and the 2005 Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) title team.
